Everyone please pray for me. I got a call today from another firm that I would love to go to work for. I know the operations manager ver well and spoke with her today. The only issue is whether or not they can match my salary. I've been where I am for 17 years <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" /> which is sad and I'm only leaving because of OM.

This would be a great move doing the same thing that I'm doing now.

Please pray that if it's Gods will that this door will open!!

thanks pep.... I can only imagine how hard this is going to be to do if it works out. I have worked with some of these people for long that they are like family to me. It will be a heartbreaking move to make but I am willing to do it.

It is a window of opportunity ... if you choose to look at it that way.

I will pray for you. Good luck. I hope you get the job. The 'only reason' you are leaving is a pretty big reason...and maybe having to start fresh in a whole new ecosystem (leaving the 'family' at work) will do great things for your self-discovery.

everlong..you are right, my only reason is a biggie!! I truly regret doing this to myself too, more than I can say. But I have learned over the last 42 years that God doesn't shut one door without opening another one and I so need this move!

I would like to say that I want to do this for my H too. He has never questioned me since d-day about contact with OM. He is truly a wonderful man and worries more about me than satisfying his own curiosity. I don't know that I would be so wonderful if the situation was reversed. I would probably asking about it every other day.

This could be the best thing to happen to your M in a long time. My W getting a new job (actually a better one) was absolutely the best thing to happen to us in this most awful of times. It let us BOTH get, if not a clean, then a cleaner start, then her staying where all the old memories and triggers persisted. Her being there just made things too tough, on us both, but especially on me.

Please for everyone's sake if the offer is "close" (even if not exact) please take the position. Don't let a few $$$$$ keep you in an unhealthy situation. Money itself cannot make you happy. Give your M the best chance to heal that you can. MOVE ON!

Excellent--glad you appreciate your husband through all this. The change will benefit you in other ways than being away from OM, though I am sure that will be an indescribable relief.

husband's response to this was a definite LB. Her first comment was "I wouldn't leave unless you can get a substantial raise". I reminded him that I wasn't leaving for the money and that was all that was said. I would be thrilled if they would even match my salary at this point and even give up the 4 weeks vacation that I get now.

FL...this would be a really good job change. The interview went well. I spoke with the branch manager and he is having to submit a requistion to see if they can "afford" me <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="images/icons/cool.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> How is that for boosting my self worth??

It's not like I make mega bucks but I have been where I am for 17 years and going in new to a firm that will match my salary is something that he has to check into. My opinion....I'm more than worth it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> !!! Now if I can just get them to go along with that BS!!

lisa, i hope it works out for you. when do you expect an answer. i put in my resume for a teaching job (at a private school were not state certificate is needed), have not heard anything yet but I am hoping this might be the opportunity meant for me. we shall see.

other than that, there is not much to report. i really doubt more and more that H and I are going to be a success story. we seem to be drifting apart emotionally more and more. i have not posted cuz there just isn't anything left saying. this site has been great for me, i am still glad i confessed as i am glad to have gained back some self integrity/honesty. i feel i have grown a lot personally. but not all stories to end up good and i fear my story is one of those. i've been reading, not much posting, i just don't feel like i bring anything positive here now.

FL...please do not quit posting. This is when you need input, believe me I know. I want to recommend a book to you to read. "Breaking the Ties That Bind"! FL...it is an awesome book and it will change your entire outlook on you and your life, then you will be better equipped to deal with H or I would have him read it too. I have read a lot of "self help" books but this one spoke to me in a way that nothing else has!!
