Hi All, I am new here and I am desperately trying to save my family....alone. I saw this book at www.stop-divorce-now.com . It is not cheap, but if it would help I would not hesitate. Does anyone know anything about it? Also, is there somewhere that explains all the WS, BS, OW ect? Like I said, I'm a newbie . Thank you, CJ

Hi CJ,
Welcome to MB.
To find out what all the acronyms/initials mean check out the Just Found Out(JFO) board at the top. Also, check out all the concepts here at MB and read, read, read.
As for the book you mentioned,I personally have not read it but there are plenty of similar books out there that sound so great and they draw you in with their long, detailed, but redundant, messages about how to save your marriage and stop divorce.
Since you are new,how about trying out the books recommended here by Dr.Harley:
Surviving an Affair(SAA)
His Needs,His Needs(HNHN)
Also get a profile so we can know more about your situation and how to help.I'm sorry you are here but it's a wealth of information and support.Keep coming back,we're here for you.

Welcome, CJ.
I am not familiar with that book, but there are many good ones out there - and some not so good.
Before you spend money on it, though, please describe your situation and a book specific to you may come to mind.
On the Just Found Out board there is a post near the top that contains most of the common acronyms.

CJ - I went to that site and saw what Grant is pushing and it sounds like a pipedream to me.
I invite others to have a look. He claims how a betrayed spouse can use a radio to "win" back a cheating spouse. And how a device/product sold at the baby counter will work to end an affair! Wow! Wonder why none of us here have ever heard of that??
I didn't know they sold snake oil at baby counters!

I did get it and read it and it did have some general helpful information. i'm all for being prepared and that knowledge is power. i felt like that particular book wasn't really for the infidelity type situations we are talking about. i would say that they are other more worth while books out there and honestly i would rather save my money to pay for sessions w/steve harley. just my input, good luck and prayers to you, RR [ June 10, 2004, 11:19 AM: Message edited by: roughroad ]

I wouldn't buy it. I found it first when I was desperate about finding answers on DDay. If I had found this site, I wouldn't have needed that. I knew at the time that it sounded like someone taking advantage of desperately hurting people, but I was one of those, so I bought it. I don't think it was very helpful, and what was good is repeated here.

roughroad or Bgentle:
What the heck is he talking about getting in the baby section that is supposed to "save" your marriage? I can't help it, I'm curious.

I bought two of those simlilar books when I was so desperate. After that, I found tons of similar things and they are all expensive, the most thing, they don't work. To print out those books, I spent more money to buy inks. I agreed with RR, I would spend the money on talking to SH.

Hey,
Thanks to all of you for your replies. I will get back here and add more info about my sit-rep (situation report). But lately I feel like an aircraft that has been hit and is coming apart on it's spiral downward. I feel out of control and helpless. Like my life is coming to an end. My kids are all that keep me here.
Thank you for the input on the book. I think this could be a helpful site for me. I just have trouble focusing. My mind is completely occupied by my situation, anything else has to take what little bit is left. It is all I think about 24/7. I have a 5 yr old Son and a 14 yr old Son and a home to take care of on top of running a business (Which I feel I am "running" into the ground since September) and helping with my parents. They are 79 yrs old and Dad has Altzheimers and Mom is physically HC.
Whoa! I am really spouting off. I just wanted to say "thanks". It kind of depresses me further to realize how many people are going through this S***. The best of luck to all of you.
CJ

Sorry Luvbird, it's no longer on my hard drive. We basically conceded that computer to the kids, so I took off anything that might cause them worry. I kept some of it like "top 10 things to do" but nothing to buy.
