I posted this today on Cool Duck's post. It may help you.

quote:
Today I realised that it's been a year today since my A ended. I remember it was a week before my birthday and something about the date today kept nagging at me.
So, this is a good news/bad news sort of reply.
I'll start with the good news. In the last week or two I've found I go hours and hours without thinking about the OM. Now from someone who thought about him for every waking moment that is quite something. Occasionally, something will really hit hard in the way of a trigger but I tested myself today by playing my mushiest CD -the one that always used to make me cry. Nothing, absolutely nothing.
I have come so close to leaving H and H has come so close to leaving me but we've hung in there and now we're getting the rewards. I can honestly say I'm in love with my H and I am sorry I ever had an A.
The ups and downs are scattered all over this board. I always mean to go back and read them one day just to see how far I've come.
And the bad news....
Look how long it's taken to get to this point.
I guess the other bad news is that I remembered the date and I stil have to say hours and hours and not days and days. I'm working on days and days and I know one day I'll realise it's been months and months.

I've been chasing you round the board but not posting and thought I'd call out to you as I see you're still here.
I just told Whiteknight I had to go but gee, here I am again.

Hi Broken Vessell, so glad you saw my post.
I changed the ring on my phone because every time it rang... well, you know the rest.
I'm also very glad you're here.
I have to go too. I was just going to log off and I read FL's post.
All I can is, people here are wonderful.
When I say the ups and downs are all here...I really will have to go back and read them.
Jenny
