THANK YOU. It was so cool logging on and seeing that this morning. H's card was SO lovely. Not sharing cos it's private. blush, blush. Yes Cello, today the 49 in my sig line turns into a 50. I don't think I'll be able to blow out the candles in one go. My sister's 50th birthday cake caught fire. It was SO funny. Well, the cake didn't catch fire but the base it was sitting on did. My sister's partner lit the candles before we started doing a few speeches and everyone was looking at the people speaking. No one was watching the cake until we noticed the flames!!!! Yes, it is the 18th here. Weird isn't it. I feel like a bit of a fraud because it's still the 17th in the US. But, it's definitely my birthday here in NZ today. On a much more serious note I'll never forget waking up on the morning of September 12 and listening to the news on the radio. I rushed downstairs to H and said "something terrible is happening in the US." We switched on the TV and watched everything unfold. All day at work we just sat glued in front of the television at work.
Never have our hearts gone out to your country so much.
I'm only mentioning it because for us it was September 12 and yet we still call it 9/11 just as you do.
Sorry to mention such a sad event. The world changed that day.
