Yesterday I posted the background of my situation and posed a question ... Is it common for spouses to cheat during the recovery process. Read "is it common" for background. It was not the same person.

It's pretty rare. If the WS is serious about his committment to recovery, then I can't imagine that he would seek another affair. That is the behavior of someone who is committed, rather, to a life of indidelity and not to his marriage.
