I've been thinking I might "retire" from MB.... semi-retire at least.

And I have been looking around for a suitable replacement of "Pep-combo" (logic + humor + compassion + common sense + perspective + verbige + instinct + experience + optimism + thick-skin + sneakness + indecent nerve )

and I think YOU just might be "IT".

I'm tired.........

Well, while I certainly am flattered beyond words, I just don't think there is a replacement for you, Pep.

Don't make me put it to a vote! Because then you would surely be stuck here forever.

Your 8 years compared to my 3 months is just no match. I simply don't got what you got!

I understand about being tired, though. Posting here takes time and energy. Take a siesta (sp?), in the shade, with an sangria (sp?), and a tortilla, and a sasporilla (sp?) - whatever that is. Then come back and be awesome.

I am so flattered, though, I hope I can get my swelled head out the door to help work my swelled butt down to a respectable size!

A big 'ol THANK YOU! You have made my day.

Pep,

Take a 5 or even a 10 minute break if you feel you MUST but other than that you sit yer butt down and commence to typin'! I mean it. Here is my fierce face to prove I'm serious ->

SS,

There'll be no living with you now. I can just see it. *sigh*

It's always sad for me 2 hear that a successful MB-er is contemplating retiring from the 4um. But I understand. Just know that your help has been very much appreciated!

I may retire myself. But I'm not a successful MB-er. Not yet.

Yes, turtlehead, I have been squeezing my swollen head in and out of buildings and my van all day! It has been wearisome . . . I think I will just have to let the air out and let it shrink back down to normal size.

I felt very cool being important for those couple of hours, though. Yep, I was a VIP. I should have gone out to eat and asked to sit in the VIP section.

"Oh, you haven't heard? Pepperband from MB thinks I would be a good replacement for her. Pepperband, like, the greatest, yeah, her, yeah, show me into the VIP section, please."

There will be no living with me! Oh well. How bad can it be? Hm . . . . .

ooooh - I would hate for pep to retire. Maybe she can semi-retire. But spider slayer is a great one to follow in her footsteps.

I remember when spider slayer first came here. She was posting to other newbies in the first couple of days. And she always gave wise advice with lots of humor, even when she was in pain herself.

Of course she will have to change her name again. How does "little pep" sound?

You girls are crazy. There simply is no replacement for Pep. Wish I could, but . . .

I think Pepperband has gotten weary. I know I did, and I had only been here about 3 months! The vets have major staying power.

I still quote one of the best posts Pep ever gave me: She said that I had planted the seeds in my garden, I had watered them and they were getting sun - meaning I was following my plan and working on me - and that I needed to sit back and give my garden time to grow. Yelling at it would not make it grow faster.

That really worked for me. Great word pictures and everything.

Pep, whenever I see you have posted to someone, I always read it, because I almost always find a message in there for myself as well.

Not pressuring you, just letting you know that you truly do matter, that you help so many here. I know that can be a burden, though.

A couple of years ago, I had gotten so involved with my kids' school, they depended on me for a lot, and it felt draining to me. I scaled back, and I enjoy the friendships I cultivated, but I let others do most of the work, now.

Thank you for all that you do. I cannot tell you how you helped me. I cannot express it. Your perspective, humor, sneakiness, all the stuff you accused me of earlier, got me through the hardest time of my entire life. And I have had a challenging life!

Thank you. For everything. SS

PEP,

SS is a great replacement I think, I worked with her weekly and she has helped not give up. But we would miss you. Take a break, take a long break, take a vacation, take something but try not to leave us. I have thought about leaving MB several times now, just because I have the kids and I figure I can work it out now with the IC and the MC, but every time I try I can quit posting. MB is addicting, you would come back. You would sit there some day and say gee I wonder what they are doing on there, and check, just like I do, next thing you know you are posting again. It's a complicated, but very good addiction I think .

I just wanted to say thank you to Spider Slayer. I have read quite a few of her posts and they are very helpful. She was the only one who replied to my post last night when I really thought I was going to lose it, and it did help. I still feel horrible today but not totally out of control.
