I have been through a really weird divorce. My ex-husband kept seeing his girlfriend and living with me for over a year before he moved out and married her (probably to keep from paying child support). This had a really weird affect on my 6 year old. My 9 year old is the typical moody and out-of-it from time to time but grasping the simple concepts. My 3 year old is clingy after a visit and doesn't want to see me leave.

My biggest concern, however, is my 6 year old. She seems to have turned off any discernment at all. I have to explain that daddys are not suppossed to move out. Marriages are supposed to stay together. No, I cannot stay overnight with her at Daddy and his new wife's house. Daddy is no longer Mommy's husband. Oh, the best one, you can only be married to one person at a time. I always wanted my children to be normal mentally and spiritually and I do not know how to turn her intuition back on. Up until this point, she was always my most discerning child.

Also, her father seems to have told her that I broke up the marriage when he is the one who committed or actively tried to commit adultery with over 7 women, one of which was only 15 years old while I was giving birth to our first child!
(This is way too sick for me to wrap my brain around.) I tried to work things out but when he actively refused to take responsibility and claim it was my fault, I refused to take the abuse and divorced him.

When were you divorced and when did he move out? Did you let him stay in the house after the divorce?

Originally, my husband requested to stay in the house for 2 years after the divorce but I refused anymore than 6 weeks (he would up only staying 4 1/2) after the divorce. I only agreed to the 6 weeks because he was going to have a stink about signing.

I have custody of all 3 children but my 3 1/2 year old gets hysterical when I leave to go outside on the deck, leave to go to the bathroom, etc. But she considers out of sight "leaving."

Kids are so amazing. They have the ability to really recover from some crazy stuff. Its sad what people will do to others. Its great to see there are people like you to protect children.

Thanks for the encouraging words. It seems that this is one of the few places I can find any.

My ex recently announced that he got me again on a "technicality." I signed papers to keep my children away from his (convicted pediphile) father but the wording was such that he can bring them to see him anyway. This has put me in such a depression that I am not sure I can get out of it easily. I gave up a lot both in time and money to protect my children and to see them in a great amount of risk is devestating.
