d,

I posted to you on my thread about LB, but don't know if you saw it.

I am hearing rumors about you and the lovely Mrs. Any chance they are true? I've searched here on MB but cannot find any confirming information.

So, give me the scoop! Is there a Military Mini in the works?

Give Mrs. a big hug for me, OK?

You guys are very cool!

Yes, the rumors are true. There is a "bud" for the Roses.

Funny how things all seem to come together sometimes. A year ago we were separated, talking, but separated. Things have really changed for us in the last two years. We were two people going through life together but not experiencing it at the same time. We were merely existing.

My lovely wife had a miscarriage back in december of last year. Something called a blighted ovum. The docs said that there was never actually a "baby" there. We found out because we elected to have an extra ultrasound. We made the appointment so as to bring our daughter so she could see her brother/sister for the first time.

As soon as I saw the pictures I knew something was wrong. You could see the embryotic sac but nothing was inside. The nurese kept looking for a heartbeat or something but it just wasn't there. I looked at Lisa and told her I was taking our daughter to the waiting room. For all practical purposes she was 16 weeks pregnant. Everything said so. The docs said things would "just happen on their own" but it didn't and she eventually had a D & C.

I guess we have been a bit more tenative on this one. We don't want to get too happy just yet. We have told people and we are excited but I can't really bring myself to enjoy it like I want. That what if is always in the back of my head. I know that isn't the way to live but right now it is the safe way.

My lovely wife says it "feels" different this time and I pray that it is. Maybe the timing was off before and we weren't quite ready, who knows?

Enough of that downer crap.....

We are doing good. She is in Mississippi doing some training for six weeks and I reeeeaaalllly miss her. Us missing each other is such a cool thing, it didn't happen that much before but it is certainly happening now.

Our church asked us to speak at our Divorce Care group and our pastor used our story as a lesson in faith and patience. I've never been too shy about telling our story but to do it on stage with two 15' screens showing it is a little different (the camera does add 10 lbs).

I also see that you have good news too. My hats off to you for what you have been through and what you and you H are accomplishing. Talk about faith and patience, you got it in spades babe!

Cool!

Hubby, son and I spent 2 nights at the Beau Rivage casino last week (close to Keesler). <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

We went to the PX at Keesler while we were there to do some shopping. (Son is home for 2 weeks R&R from the Middle East)

Keesler is an hour and a half from my home. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Doug,

My heartfelt Congratulations to you!!!! And to L!

Susan had told me but (LOL) I wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth, so to speak!

I'm sure your daughter is soooooo excited. Don't know if she remembers me, but tell her I said Hi and I'm thrilled for her new baby brother or sister!

Now...
