It occurs to me that those of us who are here are more committed and more knowledgeable than 95% of the couples in the world! The opportunity to grow from these experiences empowers us.
What we should NOT do, is give in to our negative emotions. That is no better than our S's giving into the fantasies of affairs. If they won't wake up, fine. We still have the faith, skills and strength to make our next relationships awesome.
But first things first: let give our current marriages the best we've got to give. Our families, if not our WS's (in their OP addicted state) deserve the effort.

well said and i'm doing my best to do that very thing, not trying to take things in my own hands but allowing God to continue to work in my life. sometimes it does help me to even think that i can outlast the OW. will this 20yr single OW who still lives at home be able to last as long as i can. i don't think so and pretty much everyone agrees w/me. only time will tell, prayers to you, RR [ June 23, 2004, 01:36 PM: Message edited by: roughroad ]
