NCWalker, one of my cyberfriends on the pregnancy board posted something you'd written that "stuck" with her:

quote:
I love your illustrations. I also read the following today. It was written by a FBH, ("ncwalker") on GQ a few days ago--"RAP" is his FWW. I thought you might like his take. Reminded me of your outlook.

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Forgiving RAP is easier by not dwelling on the thoughts of her A. It is just proper tending of the “garden of my heart.” Pull the weeds, but don’t stare at the weed pile.

I responded to her and ask that she tell you, but she thought I should tell you myself. Here are my golden words of wisdom for you:

"Weeds make great compost."

I hope all is well with you and your life.

Kimmy,

Thanks. You brought a smile to my face. It is nice to know people appreciate my outlook.

Funny. We tend to see great people and admire their takes on life, Victor E. Frankl who said "That which doesn't kill me makes me stronger" comes to mind. Winston Churchill, Franklin, etc. And what it boils down to is they all survived a great pain or loss.

My pastor once said "Obedience to God is a shortcut to where he wants you to be, but he will get you there, like it or not."

Should have listened to him.

Have a blessed day.

NCWalker

My very favorite is:

"Pain is weakness leaving the body."

That's on a signboard on my way home everyday...it's advertising joining the military, I think. Whatever. It appeared when I needed it.

I agree...but would add that whether we like it or not, we are clay to be molded. Once you hand yourself to your ultimate Artist, you yourself will become a work of art - whether or not the Artist gets His studio messy is entirely up to the medium (you).
