I'm gonna work on my budget, write music, weed the garden, read, and try to dust off my dissertation. I may go and see my folks for a few hours, and I'm gonna try to have a cookout on Sunday w/a few friends. Seafood and N/A beer. I hope I don't hit a speed bump and get too bummed out.
How about the rest of you lonesome BSes?

Need to cut the grass and weed the garden tomorrow morning. Need to pick some beans and squash too; I didn't realize until today how many were growing. I'm going to my dad's in PA tomorrow night. Coming home on Sunday so I can fly to NYC (business, not pleasure) on Monday.
I had some scenic pictures from our vacations enlarged, so I may frame them and hang them up. Pictures from our trips to Alaska and Colorado.
BTW, I know you're also on Lexapro... my doctor said that I could have alcohol, just to be careful, as it would take less to affect me. Honestly, I haven't really noticed any difference. Not that I drink every night, or even every week, but I do have a couple beers every now and then. [ July 02, 2004, 02:41 PM: Message edited by: phantom8808 ]

I got the same advice about alcohol. Not forbidden, just "take it easy". I'm having a real one when I get home tonight, even though I'm wicked goofing off this afternoon. I'll get some work in on Monday probably, even though it's a vacation, so I don't feel too guilty...
I just hope I can feel okay and not think too much about what the sparrow is up to. Lots of friends will be gone, so I'm gonna have to do it on my own, mostly.

Hi GC,
I'll be at "the cabin", but the 4th isn't a holiday up here in Canada. I wish my American friends a happy 4th of july though!
Our country's Bday is the 1st of July, Canada day. I spent it alone as my WW has the kids to a lake a couple hours north. I also had to put in a 13 hr shift at work. Not much of a celebration. I am thankful for the country I live in and the blessings I have.

I am the rare "Statie" that knows the date of Canada Day. Probably 'cause I grew up in Wisconsin. They should just give us Sconnie folks dual citizenship.
Two hours north to a cabin in CA, it must be pretty wild up there.

Can be, once off the beaten path. The lake they're at is typical cottage stuff though, cabins, docks, BBQ's and beers.
Ours, or mine now with the impending separation agreement, is near the mountains with Elk, moose, wolves, bears (including grizzly) cougars etc. It's further south though. I was building it for an intact family, but now I'm not sure my heart's in it any more. I'll be going there for 10 days leaving tonight or tommorrow AM. I'll see how it feels.
Hey, I'm taking this thread in a new direction.
Sorry.
Happy 4th!

This weekend I will be celebrating the 4th and Canada Day (albeit a few days late)
My best friend is from Ottowa and is visiting us this weekend so we are celebrating both! H even got a Canadian flag to hang next to Old Glory in the yard.
I live in "the cradle of liberty" city so there is lots going on here in town! Definitely catch the fireworks by the river!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Going hiking tomorrow with some friends.....
Going to see fireworks by the river on Sunday, with some other friends.
Apparently I got volunteered to play softball tonight. I am a decent athlete. Basketball? Pretty good (as much as a 5 1/2 ft tall white guy can be). Tennis? Check. Soccer? Check. Swinging a bat....Yikes. That will be an adventure.
Off of work on Monday, so I imagine that much lounging around will occur.....

I have an old friend coming from LA and staying at my house for the weekend. Don't have specific plans for the fourth though.

Saturday going to take my daughter to her pet-rescue volunteer work, and probably hang around a bit. Then take them shopping for some new shoes. Hopefully have time to clean out the garage.
Sunday, heading to church. Then visiting some family, during the evening taking kids (sans WW ) down to the beach for a festival and watch the fireworks.

Well I knew I didn't have any plans for the 4th, so I got all the neighbors interested in a block party. That will be fun, and then to the ocean to see the fireworks.
