Great post!!! There are so many!! But as the BS #1 has to be "The Doors" I been done so GD long that it looks like up to me off their LA Woman album... for those younsters in the crowd and album is like a giant CD, sort of.
Just to show that I'm not that OLD my current fav is Nicklebacks "Someday" when I heard the song start out with... HOW THE HELL'D WE END UP LIKE THIS... it had me. Great song all the way thru though check it out.
And always remember IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE!!!! which is actually a line from a Travis Tritt song.

This is one that became my favorite when I got to a certain point in my seperation from my H and what I thought was eminent divorce. OK, but this is really my favorite - can't tell you who sings it, or who wrote it, but it speaks volumes about the amount of forgiveness our Heavenly Father has given us, and with His help, we too can forgive.
For anybody who is not familiar with Hosea (Bible character) - God allowed/told him to marry a woman who was outside his faith, and in fact a "heathen" and was living in a land that sold women, felt they were not much more than prostitutes. (Lot more to it, but that gives you the basics.) Anyway, was God's picture for His favorite (Israel) was lived through the life of Hosea. So, Hosea meets/marries this beautiful woman, who later leaves him to go back to her homeland and prostitute herself. The place she was from, at certain times, would hold auctions for the "used up" ones to be sold.....that's where this song comes in...

Go plead with your mother, were the words of Hosea, as he sent his children to extend his mercy. So they journeyed down the old road that led to much destruction, all the while their anxious hearts were hurting. Their hope was crushed inside, as their compassion was denied, the woman they so loved seemed like a stranger, so heart-broken and alone they took the long road home, for sin now reigned, and hope seemed gone to change her.
One day the word was told that some slaves were being sold. A restless love sent Hosea seeking. All at once they brought them in, so beaten down within, but in his chest, his anxious heart was beating. All at once she caught his eye, and from his lips the bids were high, she couldn't believe the words she could hear. Would he through judgement take her life, forever end his pain and strife, what would happen as she saw him drawing near her?
