Anyway, had to put my dog down today. WW was very cold about it, she knew how much I loved that dog. She didn't know I was taking her to the vet today. Last night she asked me when I was going to put the dog down or was I just waiting for her to die one day at home. In a very mean tone. I told her I was going to put her down tomorrow and she got mad at that too. Because I didn't tell her soon enough.

I pampered my border collie the last few days. Gave her food she shouldn't eat, gave her extra brushings, and took her for her last walk last night.

I held her while they put her down. I was a mess afterwards... glad I had time to get myself together before I got home. She lived a good 15 years, a long time for a dog I guess.

At least the kids were there for me.

So sorry to hear that. I know how important animals can be. Sorry your wife still doesn't "get it".

Again, 1FM, I'm so sorry. Fifteen years is a very good life for a dog, and it sounds like you loved her very much. That must give you comfort.

Stay strong, man. I know that you place a certain value on being able to stand on your own and quietly endure hardship, but running to MB in a crisis doesn't make you a sissy. It makes you a smart man that's using all the tools he has to deal with a tough situation. Cheers,
