knew better,

Hello there!

Thanks for the compliment on the NC walker thread. Just trying to get through to him, however unsuccessfully.

What else can be said about that situation? I mean WOW!
I can honestly say that I wouldn't have the balls to do what they are doing.
Its one thing to discuss this stuff after the fact, OR
only coming here to vent your pain and only to give your own point of view.

However, to put your lives out there like this (and I know its only to get help).....I have a huge amount respect for the BOTH of them for doing this.
It shows me that they really DO want to reconnect and heal their M, for them to subject themselves to this.

However, as a reader, It has just been so frustrating to actually "watch" a couple go through this together here at the same time. Fascinating, but frustrating at the same time.

It just makes you want to yell, "Watch out" when YOU as the reader KNOW what is coming around the corner.

Then on the other hand, you end up feeling SO helpless by not being able to really effect anything into the situation, except words.

This is the 1st couple I've seen DO this to this extreme here, and its turned into quit a soap opera (meant in the nicest way).
To be able to tap into all the pain and mistakes basically "as they happen" is almost an unreal experience to me.
Makes you wish we here could Do more.

Any way I kept up with the story, but never posted as they seemed to have more then plenty enough of the regulars on their tails.

However, this Saturdays turn of events, just was enough and I wanted to at least attempt to somehow help these 2.
As a result, I responded to NC walker with 2 separate posts. Saying basically the same thing, just with different twists. Hope some of it gets through.
In any case, I Tried.
Guess I can still say a prayer for them, as I haven't tried that yet.

Here's hoping they find a way to get it together!

Take care of yourself

Top, the thanks go to you. I was in awe at the way you expressed yourself. I also admire your preserverance even though the answer was rebuffed. They must find their own way but it is very painful to watch.

It's so easy to get caught up in the emotional drama of our own and others painful affair experiences and forget that there are escape hatches for the pain. Revealing the affair to an OP's spouse is one of the biggest, most obvious escape hatches. You did a FANTASTIC job of explaining exactly why.

To reveal or not to reveal is always going to be an individual call but because emotions do color our thoughts it can be difficult to make rational decisions in the middle of the "soap opera". This is one reason that outsiders can give valuable advice to those struggling with difficulties.

In the end we all have to make our own decisions right or wrong. My thought on posting is that the information is out there and that's all that really matters in the end. People either get it or they don't but there's always be someone else who will need it AND use it. Your time and effort was well spent regardless of the response, Top Rope.

BTW, hope you don't mind but I put your post in my own personal Notable Threads file so I can "borrow" it from you for some future post. It was just THAT good! Thanks again, KB
