Our son was 'homeless" for 3 nights.... and I did NOT rescue him!

Hooray!

My prayer was..

"God. I pray our son suffers greatly and feels miserable, but that he NOT die."

Today, son called.... spoke to Mr. Pep (recovering AA 8 years .... knows his stuff)

"Dad, these drugs are kicking my [censored]. It's time for me to stop."

Mr. Pep went off to take son to lunch....

I am waiting....

Gee, isn't parenthood fun?

Silly string still all over the yard from 15-year-old's party....

Life is so full of contradictions... up and down.

Please pray for our son ... to get clean and sober.

Please pray for me .... to follow MY Al-anon program and not "mother" him back into his illness.

Pep (on my knees with gratitude)

Young pep is in my prayers. It's strange how when a child is in trouble, everything else seems less important. Even though my WH is gone, I'm grateful that the children are doing fine. Well actually they are young men and women, but will always be my children.

And Pep - have hope. I have seen many young people make horrible choices, and come out of it just fine. One of my best friends son was a wild one, completely out of control. Now he is a minister, and I had no hope for him at all.

Pep,

My prayers are with your son and your entire family. I am greatly encouraged by the fact that he reached out to his Dad for help. He knew what he was doing.

This is a great beginning. Hugs to you!

Pep,

It must have been such a struggle to not go get him. You did it. Tough love. I am sure that is what he needed.

I hope this is his "rock bottom."

NCW and I will pray hard that this is the beginning of the end of his poor choices.

You have such great strength. Thank you for sharing that with me. I know it is hard when you see what I say. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Enjoy your 15 year old. I love my 13 year old. Mine is a boy, but they are all goofy. It is so great for the heart!

Love ya,

Pam and NCW

He's a lucky boy to have the parents he has. And yes, he may be 18, but he's still young. Hopefully this is his turning point.

I've been praying a long time for him and I'm not stopping now.

Prayers and hugs,
♥ Susan

It is impossible to save someone from their own bad choices.....

I did not cause this
I cannot contain this
I cannot cure this

The "disengage with love" technique gets less difficult with experience....

So far so good today... back into the sober living house... sober this time!

this too shall pass.... right?

THANKS Ya'LL

Pray for "Louie"

Pep

Pep, I know I don't have to tell you this, but as a graduate of the School of Hard Knocks, Louie is in the RIGHT school! I will say a prayer for your nerves and for Louie.

Pepp, you've got my prayers, such as they are, and my good thoughts and well wishes as well. You are just about as cool as they come, even if everyone thinks you're a Mr. Pepp instead of being married to a Mr. Pepp.

"Louie" huh? does he play a mean trumpet?
