The title isn't exactly true. I found out everything I needed to know today. The baby is healthy and developing well. I was a little worried about that since I am 19 weeks along and haven't gained any weight, in fact I have lost about 19 lbs since D-day. However, the baby wouldn't cooperate so the doctor couldn't see to tell if it was a boy or a girl. He did say he thought it might be a girl but couldn't say with any certainity. I go to my regular doctor in two weeks so I am hoping I can talk him into refering me for another sonogram in a month.

WH went with me. We met in the parking lot and went in together. We talked a little bit in the waiting room. We both stared at the TV monitor during the sonogram, I saw him look my way once or twice. We chated a little bit in there. I asked the doctor a lot of questions to make sure the baby was doing well. WH didn't say anything to the doctor, what could he say, he knows nothing about my pregnancy or what should be happening when. Kind of sad. We talked for a few more minutes before I checked out and we walked out to the parking lot together. He told me he was taking Friday off from work so he would go by the house and do the lawn then and he would let the dogs out so I didn't have to come home for lunch. This also means he will not have to see me.

I don't know what to make of his behavior lately. We had been talking or e-mailing almost every day or at least every day, but for the last two weeks he has barely spoken to me or contacted me. Maybe he's back with OW, maybe not. I just have to keep taking care of myself and planning for the baby. I have to plan to do this on my own since he has proven to not be responsible or trustworthy. He says he will be there for me and the baby, but I can't believe him or count on him. This baby will need a least one responsible parent and that will be me. He is totally clueless when it comes to the baby. He says he wants to be a part of the babies life, but I don't think he understands what that means. The babies life has already started and he has missed it.

The baby won't be real to him until it is born, and then I bet he "grows" up in a hurry.

As for the gender of the baby -

can you say yellow?

(I didn't know either, so everything had to be yellow)

Oh Kloe - sorry your WH is being such a %%%. One of the nicest thing about pregnancy is having your husband there to support you.

But sounds like little kloe is doing well, and we can be thankful for that.

Way to go, kloe. I see you trying to look at good things. That's the spirit. If WH doesn't come back you don't want him back. It's a funny, self-fulfilling prophecy. Of course, it's also something that makes sense intellectually but your emotions refuse to go along with it.

Congratulations on your unborn child's apparent good health. Now go chow down, sister.

Kloe, that salad had better be leading up to a pasta course.

And DESSERT for chrissakes....I hear absolutely no mention of dessert. I mean, what's the purpose of eating if not to have dessert?!?!?!

Now get with the program, Kloe! There has to be something rich and delicious that's good for the baby.

I love to see you're in good spirits. You want to talk about what's good for the baby...

Two words, Kloe:

MEXICAN FOOD!

(sigh) I loved being pg (most of the time). Congratulations on the health of your young'un. Please consider a few carbs with your salad! Maybe a sandwich???

Kloe it must be nice to have such willpower. With my first son I didn't have any appetite for food. With this pregnancy I eat anything in sight. I crave the weirdest stuff. But I am doing good so far I have only gained 4 pounds and I am almost 6 months pregnant.
