He doesn't have to move in with you. Not as is anyways...... the weather is still quite nice down your way. Let him sleep in his vehicle or tell him to get OW to meet that need. NOT U!

My thoughts...

You do whatever it is that you have to do to stay in that house, and to insure that he cannot come back until he has met your conditions.

That's one of the nice things about filing for divorce. Even if you drag it out for a loooooooooooong time, planning for an eventual reconciliation, at least it establishes a very clear and firm set of rules for protecting yourself and your situation.

Now, I'm not necessarily saying that you should file. But having read much of your ongoing drama for the past 9 months or so, I firmly believe that you belong in that house, and that he has no place there until he has clearly demonstrated his willingness, his ability, to meet your conditions for returning.

Whatever it takes to insure that.....that's what I think you should do.

As for telling him you'll file? Silly lady! Silly, sweet, wonderful lady! Don't threaten. Either do it or don't do it, but don't bother to just threaten him with it.

Keep it short, just reply. "No, you find your own place." Keep it dark.

Change all the keys of the house if he force to come, you have to be willing to call a cop. Tell the cop that he has left the family and you don't feel secure or safe with him in the house. The cop will get him out. Legally he could force himself in but if you tell the cop that you don't feel safe ... he/she has to keep him away.

i'm just throwing this out there but maybe if the reason why he can't find another place is because of the dog, maybe you could just take the "dog" in? then you have kept up your end of the boundaries and he has to take care of himself.
