Hi all! Very new here, have made a few posts and read a LOT! Won't go into details, but my husband initiated our separation..don't *believe* he's currently in a relationship but we have agreed to date others. This is a point I would like to renegotiate with him soon, but it was one of the things that made him go for separation rather than divorce.

At this very moment, I still want to save our marriage and he's willing to work on our problems, but he's reluctant. I would say he's definitely in withdrawal.

My question is..how do *I* avoid going into withdrawal? He is still filling some of my needs but I often find myself thinking...what if he's right? What if this is just too much work only to be hurt again in the end? What if I really should just stop now and get on with my life. He's coming to visit me for a week next month (we live far apart) and I find myself on one hand wanting to work on our problems. On the other hand I find myself having a talk like, "I see how much pain this has caused you and I am so sorry for that. I've decided that I love you too much to see you go through this and so I'm going to give you the divorce--no more trying to work on our problems."

Understand, this is NOT something that I want to do but I fantasize about it and that worries me. Any thoughts on ways to avoid this?
