Hold your ground, Frank. There is no reason for D to go there. WW can come down and visit under your supervision. You already know its an unfit environment for a child, you don't need to test that truth. Don't let your W brow beat you into sacrificing the best interest of your D. There is no reason W can't come to your house.
Do you know where to take D for a haircut?

Frank, you need to defend your D and tell your W to knock it off. Tell your W that D won't be coming down because it is an unsuitable environment for a child and if she wants to see her, she has to come to your house or meet some place. Tell your D you have made up your mind about this. Don't make a 10 yr old child take the heat for this decision, Frank.

Frank, I replied to your other thread yesterday telling you that if your W believes that the choice is your D's, she will use this to manipulate her. Bingo, that is what is going on here!
You TOLD your W that your D did not want to come and that it was her decision. Now your W is trying to bribe your D by making a hair appointment. It's obvious to me what is going on.
The next time you speak to your W tell her that under NO circumstances will you have your D in the OM's home. Tell her that your D agreed to this but that it is YOUR decision in the end and that you will not change your mind.
As long as you are inviting your W to come to your home to see your D, I really don't see how the judge could hold that against you. I realize that your lawyer has advised you differently here and I do not understand it. Does he know the situation with the OM?
Remember, your W left your home and your D, you did not ask for her to do this.
You can take your D for a hair appointment this weekend, get her nails done too and see a movie. If your w wanted to spend time with her D, she would be offering to come where she is. Stand your ground Frank,Ladysing

Frank, please stop this now. Your D is being yanked around like a rag doll because you won't stand up for her. Call your W and tell her this:
"Meagan cannot come down to your house because it is an unfit environment for a child. If you want to see D, then you can come down here and see her while I am home or I will take her to a neutral place. So stop asking D if she can come down, BECAUSE I WILL NOT ALLOW IT. IT IS NOT UP TO D SO PLEASE QUIT ASKING HER.
We would love to have you, when can we expect you? " [ July 22, 2004, 07:27 PM: Message edited by: MelodyLane ]

And here is why, Frank. If she gets sick while she is still married to you, the bills will come back and bite YOU because you are her H.
In principle, I agree with what you are trying to do and think it applies to most things, like car insurance, car payments, cc payments, etc. But with this, I think you should keep her on just for that reason alone.

Stand your ground , you are the sane adult here, remember that. You MUST protect your D. WW is too fogged up to "understand" your resoning.
Re: the insurance. Lawyer question. Sometimes the divorcee must pay their X's insurance. Did she say anything about it??
