batman - There are several cops here, and several married to one. But I can't remember who.
I do know that the schedule and hours of being a police officer are very hard on a marriage. Two of my friends that are in law enforcement are going on their fourth wives.

batman - Not to say that it can never work. But if she is having reservations already, and you are not even married yet, I would be very careful.

Hey Batman, I'm married to a cop. It will be 30 years on August 31. He is the WS. You guys have way too much opportunity. Although I have to say, he only cheated on me once while on the job (that I know of). He's thinking bout retiring in Oct. and has been out on WC since June. It was when we both got involved in an organization together that he decided to do his 'thing.' I have to say that for the first 20 years or so I thought that it was great, we got along very well because he worked rotating shifts and while I was home with the kids, he was working or sleeping. We very rarely argued and got along just fine. It was after we had to start spending time together on a regular basis that we started having problems. I was used to having my space and then when he got on regular shifts he 'invaded' my space and got on my nerves and also expected me to be at his beck and call. Then when I didn't say how high when he said to $#!t he went looking for someone who would. We have since worked things out, its been 4 years since DD but its still hard. Now he's up my butt 24/7 LOL. Its not such a bad thing now cuz we're working on us after 4 kids and a changed way of being us. Its hard work, but worth it. If I can help with any questions you may have, feel free to ask. Good luck.
