Hi. I'm off out in approx 2 hours to meet mutual friends of my wife and I so the children can get together and play. I've always been honest with this couple and since me and my wife seperated I haven't badmouthed my wife or put her down in any way. I think my friends know how much I love my wife and want her back. Trouble is the female mutual friends mum is best friends with my wifes mum. I saw my wife today and she was angry at me that something that I told the mutual friends had got back to her. What I told the mutual friends was grossly misrepresented. I did put my wife straight but with the fog, who knows if it got through. Obviously the woman mutual friend had told her mum something that had got back to my wifes mum and onto my wife. Could be a case of chinese whispers, I don't know. Should I continue confiding in my mutual friends when I see them tonight? Should I tell them what happened and that I know that they have passed on information, even innocently? Should I let them know how the information was distorted? Please help me to decide on the safest course of action. Thanks.
