Okay, so today I was reading The Onion, and there was a very funny interview with a comedian the sparrow and I used to like.

I've blocked her email. Is it not fair for me to send her a link to this thing that I think will make her laugh? She won't be able to respond.

It's up to you. Are you in plan B? If you are then don't send it.

Well, it's your call - but I doubt she'll be nearly as amused as she will be irritated that she's not 'allowed' to email you back. You might just want to save it for a time when conversation resumes. It would give you something to talk about.

Why bother? There are many things that I would love to share with my WH and vice versa but we just don't have that kind of relationship anymore. He pretends to be interested and I think that hurts more than the actual sharing. His life is elswhere now.

Your decision though.

I'm in plan A when I see her, which is currently never. Haven't seen her or spoken to her in almost three weeks, haven't sent or received an email since after getting served early last week - I blocked her in response to the evil robot's day-after email: "I hope you are okay and not too surprised..."

Advised by Jennifer Harley, I remain officially in plan A. I have no idea what kind of life she's living right now.

I thought it might be good to reach out in a very light, relaxing way. But H4F, you're right, not being able to respond will just annoy her.

This week I have to mail her a check, and I have a cool card to put it in. I thought it would be nice to just put a good joke or something in there. Nothing heavy.

While I agree with you, the Onion has caused me 2 fall out of my chair many a time, don't send the email.

Collect the URLs, and you'll have a pile of things 2 laugh about during recovery.

thanks GC for updating your profile.

you've said exactly what you needed to do. you're in plan A, don't send the email because she can't email you back, you got ave a check to send and a light card to send w/it. sounds like a great harley outlook and plan to me.

any thoughts at becoming a counselor continued prayers to you in this heartbreaking time we're having, RR

Back atchya, RR. We're in similar boats, you and me.

It has occurred to me that counseling could be a 2nd career worth considering. But I often feel awfully inept in dealing with my own situation, much less advising others on theirs.

I am nagged by the feeling that there are lots of counselors out there who aren't helping very much. "We're in MC" doesn't seem to provide the reassurance that you'd think it would.

Gray -

So glad that you are in a good enough place to enjoy The Onion again.
