He's at his parents house right now. I need to take my son somewhere and will be going over there myself in a little bit. Just wanted to give an update on how things are going..and any further suggestions would be welcome too.
Picked him up at airport, said he hardly recognized me..lol.not sure if that's good or bad (got a drastically different haircut). Neither of us overly loving at airport or carride home (2 hrs), but it wasn't strained either. Just very upbeat and friendly...like seeing a friend you haven't seen in awhile.
Our evening was very relaxed. Likes the apartment, liked the jeans I was wearing (lol, my first ever pair of low-risers)..cuddled lots with doggie. We watched TV..and TALKED about what we were watching (it was about DaVinci Code). My husband is currently reading the Holy Grail book thingy and the author was on there and my husband talked on and on about it. This was great because conversations like this are something that my husband and I are good at. We're fairly equal in the intellectual dept and enjoy talking about philosphies, books, etc. As night wore on, he pulled me over to cuddle on him.
I let him make all the first moves. "I love you" has not been said by anyone yet (yay me!!). He started all the good conversations and he initiated the affection. No R talks (yay me again!!) We got up fairly early, had coffee together on porch and chatted some more before we headed out to get breakfast and to go to his parent's house where we proceeded to love all over our other dog (that we had to give up because of this separation). I asked him if he wanted to spend some time alone with them but he said he wanted me to come back there when I'm done taking my son to his events this evening.
So, so far so good! Everything has been very pleasant and relaxed. I hope for the world of course, but so far this is much more than I *expected* it to be. I did not expect him to be initiating affection (cuddle sessions) or for him to be so ready to TALK (without talking about R). I had thought things would be a little strained but no evidence of that. So yay me!!! No LB's so far <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
On a side note, if you pray, could you please pray for my mom? On top of everything else that's been going on my dad called today and said that my mom has been in the hospital since Tuesday. We had no idea she was sick and apparently is having heart problems--to a degree that when they did the MRI for her, they would not even let her drive to the hospital, my dad had to go take her. I think that she will be ok, but she's only 62. I'm not ready to lose my mom yet so if you could all please think of her, I would appreciate it!

glad to hear it maddy, it's nice to be disappointed when you expect the worst. just keep doing what you can, when you can, for as long as you can. just maintain for the time he is there and follow your words w/actions. after he leaves you will have more "information" about what you need to do or can do and will have some time to "practice" those things and work on yourself until the next time you see each other.
continued prayers for you and the rest of your family, especially your mom. God Bless, RR
