Well I am 36 years old and married to my wife for 14 years. we started going out young. I did something stupid and asked here of any boyfriends before me .The answer, there was one then I demanded she tell me what happened during the realtionship she told me and that was that. But now a month later it hurts and it feels like she cheated on me.

Why am I feeling this way and is it stupid to feel this way.

Thanks

Mike

Hi LM1,

Let's see... you weren't even dating at the time, when she had this "experience" with some other guy...

You ask her about it (actually you said that you "demanded" that she tell you about it...) So she was being TOTALLY honest with you... and told you about it...

Now to your questions:

quote:
Why am I feeling this way ...

God gives us all 'rules' to live by. These rules are meant to protect us... Pre-marital sex is hurtful to the future marriage partner, thus God's 'rule' that sex should be between a husband and a wife.

quote:
...is it stupid to feel this way

Your feelings are YOUR feelings... and I'm sure not going to say whether they are "stupid" or not... I would say that you might want to go THANK your wife for being so honest with you and telling you about her previous "experience"... Afer all, you DEMANDED that she tell you, and she did.

You're feeling like this because you found out something about your wife that you didn't know, and even though it happened before she was involved with you, it's still something you now know about her intimate (I'm assuming) past.

If I found out something like that, I might think on it for a little while, too.

BUT...

She didn't cheat on you. It has nothing to do with you. It was before you.

Think of it this way...she feels comfortable enough with you to tell you. She wouldn't have had to.

My thoughts would be to think about something else every time the thoughts pop into your mind. They'll fade. They were from a LONG time ago. Unless a person is really lucky nowadays, there has usually been a boyfriend/girlfriend before them.
