Does this sound reasonable?

H just told me that he definitely wants to move out, but is not sure exactly when the best time will be. We get along fine and do a great job of being the happily married couple, even with this impending split. So we have agreed to spend the next 2 weeks together as business as normal, then figure out what to do and when.

We also agreed to separate and work out our own agreement regarding finances and the kids. I am going to propose we do this through a mediator.
After he moves out, I guess this is Plan B, right? I plan to keep it civil and friendly when I see him, but to minimize the contact between us as much as possible.

If we are still separated with no signs of rencillation after 3-6 months, I will ask for a legal separation or divorce.

Does this sound realistic? Probably a bit premature since this all just came down this past week, but at least it makes me feel like I am being proactive and have some control.

EH,

Sorry to repeat myself, but I really wish you would contact Steve Harley. What I think might happen is that your H will possibly leave and find out what it's like to be single.

Of course it won't be as good as his fantasy thinks. He'll want to come home. Under what conditions will it be safe for you and your kids to allow him to come home? What kind of personal spiritual growth/maturity will you require of him to help insure that this won't happen again down the road.

I just think you, just you counseling with SH would help you plan a strategy for now as well as later.

Blessings to you...
