"Diamonds are a girls best friend....."

So true,so true. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

But seriously folks,I have been researching this idea for a little while and I would like any feedback from other's with opinions or experience please.

Since I am going to be D'd soon,I have been thinking about what to do with my diamonds.I will not go into great detail about what they are like but suffice it to say I have a lot of carats.Ahem.

Anyway,I am wondering if:

1)It is best to put my diamonds in a safety deposit box and keep them until the kids are near college age and sell them to put the money in their trust funds

2) Keep the diamonds until the girls are grown and let them decide what to take

3)Make my engagement ring into a necklace and wear the diamond eternity band on my right hand.It is really beautiful and my WH had it made for me in San Francisco for our 10th Wedding anniversary. It would be a shame to have it sit in my jewelry box for years or in a safety deposit box.

Even though my Wedding band has diamonds too,I want to just leave that in my jewelry box after I D.

So,any ideas would be aprreciated. As I mentioned,I am just now researching my plans, appreciation of diamonds, costs and jewelry design as well as asking all manner of friends, family and "experts" their opinions.

Thanks ahead of time.

Ahhhhh - diamonds, my favorite subject!

I like either option number two or three. Of course you could always take the diamonds and have them set in a beautiful setting for a necklace and then later on down the road pass the necklace to one daughter and the ring to another. That is if you have just two daughters!

OR have them made into a beautiful broach! Put on a smoking hot suit, wear the broach on your lapel and show your x what the heck he's missing.

Sorry, was that too mean????
