Good mornin Y'all!!!

Just a quick Happy Friday to everybody!! And, a quick prayer request...

We have a lot of MBrs in Florida, and quite a few in the Tampa Bay area...Please pray for them - for us all!! For anyone who does not live in an area that can be affected by a Hurricane, this is more than just a "bad storm"! This one "Charley" is predicted to be at a "category 3" by the time it reaches land - that means winds at 120-125 mph...they're expecting the storm surges at the mouth of the Gulf to be at least 10-14 ft. This is a Hurricane like West Florida has not seen since the 1920's!! It will not only affect the West Central Coast of Florida, but also is expected to affect half way across the state!!!

To all the FL MBrs: If/when you get a chance to post and let everybody here know you're ok, please do - I, for one, have a mental list of the folks I know have said they're in FL, and I'm praying for you all, just because I don't how/if you'll be affected by this storm!! Be safe, God Speed, and God Bless to you all!!

MB love,
YL

I'm in Tampa Bay area...Pinellas County and won't be evacuating (not in an evac zone). All of my relatives I have here (inlaws and some blood aunts/uncles) *are* in evac zones and I hope their homes fare well.

lol..this is allll I friggin' need. I thought bad things only happen in three's? giggle..I feel like Eeyore with a little dark cloud over my head following me around. Sorry all my fellow FL, MB'ers..this might be my fault. Just kidding.

Everyone stay safe.

I am in good old Tampa Bay, and while pretty well inland (live in the northern suburbs), gotta admit, I am a little worried.

I live on a conservation lot, which means tons of trees on the back of house...that could easily blow over in a 125 mph wind, and crash into my windows, roof, etc. Especially because the ground is already wet (we have had a TON of rain the past 10 days), so the root systems of these trees are weakened....ugh!

Well...I have weathered some pretty significant emotional storms this year, why not throw in a real freakin HURRICANE.

Hello all. (Not having a very good day...oh well.)
Anyway, just wanted to let you all Floridians know that you are in our prayers and thoughts. Please, please keep safe!

(Just a tidbit of info I just heard...last time two tropical systems hit the same area in the same week was back in '85: Long Island (T.S. Henri and H. Gloria which was only a "borderline" Cat2.)

I remember it very clear--I can only imagine what a Cat3 could do. Please, please, please be safe all of you down there, K?

California/hawaii requires a staus report. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

To all the MB Floridians, "batter down the hatches"... ..... is that the right thing to say or is that ship talk? Whatever the phrase is, please take care. We want to hear how all you are doing.

See Liny, that's why I love posting at MB!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

MBers tell it straight out and give me the correction I need. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Now you know I love to eat baked goods and bake a bit but am not a good sailor. Plus my pidgin english often mixes up my letters not to mention my typos. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Thanks for the correx.

Yikes - I just heard that the hurricane has been raised to a level 4, with winds up to 145 mph., and may be shifting to 100 miles south of Tampa.

Stay safe everyone, and go north.

Well, none of the Florida people checking in. I am continuing to worry, and I am FURIOUS at TreeReichs WH. Here her son and her are in the path of this Category 4 hurricane, with winds up to 145 mph and he e-mails her that he hopes everything is all right.

He can't even bother to help his family. Makes me want to hit him with a baseball bat.

I'm guessing they lost power. I really hope we hear from somebody soon.

I'm very worried.

I have a bat, I'm with you Believer.
