I will talk to all of you later on. I am trying to get everything ready for my son and I to go to our frineds house so we are safe and have support. I am in Orlando and we are expected to have winds of 65-70n minles per hr. Yikes!!! My h sent an email to make sure we were ok. How nice!!!! I would have at least thought he could have come by or called to see if we needed help! That really hurts me! What can I do though! Take care and I will talk to all of you tomorrow....hopefully! I hope we don't lose electricity! Ugh!

I know...it's pathetic!!!!! I can't believe my H didn't even come by to make sure we had everything brought in from outside. I just don't even know who he is right now. It really hurts!!! My Mom called and asked if my H was here to help me and when I told her no I could hear that she was about to cry. She is so hurt by this too. I don't think my family will ever feel the same way about him again. I'm so sorry for that! They do love him very much.

Thank you!!!! I need to be with friends at a time like this. It just hurts that my H isn't with us when we need him. I will pray for him tonight and hope that he will not be with OW during the hurricane. I guess that's all I can do!

TR, I know Orlando well ! we spend most Christmasses in Fla. !
Make yourself safe, girl. Batten down the hatches, make sure the things you value are safe from the storm, child and self first, posessions next. Make sure you have provisions to last the whole storms duration - it may not be over anytime soon. Keep yourself occupied positively while the storm rages, you can't reason with the storm, best to not get too upset or scared by it. Then when the storm has passed, you can emerge stronger than ever and more able than ever to make the best of whatever the storm left in its wake. You may be surprised that less has been destroyed that you expected.
And to enjoy the better weather...
...by the way, that applies to your Weather Warning for Orlando too, honey <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

TreeReich,
I feel for you. That is such a shame and makes me really angry.
I have a different situation. I work as a Fire Lt. in Pinellas County and had to work on Thursday... and fully expected to be held over to work throughout the weekend on hurricane duty.
Before I left for work I asked my WW if we had to evacuate where she planned on taking the kids... and that her and the kids were welcome at my sisters. ( She lives about 2 miles away - high and dry in a non-evacuation zone.) We live on a lake and in a flood zone.
She gave me the typical answer. "I'll take care of it don't you worry" I told her I wanted to know where she was going to take the kids because I would probably be working and wanted to know where they were and that they were safe. She told me that they would be safe and she always made sure they were safe.
I just wanted to know where my family would be at during a hurricane ...is that too much for a reasonable person to understand. After much prodding she said that she wouldn't be going to my sisters. But she might go to her sister's house in Lakeland 120 miles away. I asked her to leave me directions so I could find my way there when I got off duty. (She has kept her sisters house secret from me and her phone # too until last month)
She said she wouldn't leave a map, that I could just call her for directions. I was a bit perturbed to say the least. Who knew what the phone lines were going to be like, and if she would even answer her phone for that matter.
So I do sympathize with you. The shoe is on the other foot here. My WW trying to keep my family away from me during the hurricane. Not letting me know until the last minute where she was taking them.
Turned out she took them to her friends house. A friend who is separated from her husband and probably going to divorce. I went there on Friday afternoon. When the evacuation order was lifted and we returned home, she told me in that if this happens again, I had better find a different place to go, I was not welcome there.
Can you imagine, that was my wife of 15 years with my two kids telling me that. She also told me I have no say in where the kids go, or the right to know even.
TreeReich, I can imagine your pain that your WH was so indifferent. My WW acutally tried to sweep my kids away without telling me where they would be. Not the best situation, trapped in a firehouse, with no idea where my family was or if they were safe.
