WW came over yesterday and told 12-y.o. DD that she was proceeding with D ASAP. WW also told DD about "inappropriate relationship" with OM/family friend and that she loves him. (Actually is "deep EA" except WW refuses to acknoledge. I read her the paragraph in SAA clearly stating that relationship is a textbook EA.) WW had no comment. WW also told DD that I still desire to keep marriage together, but WW does not. I told WW that she must be forthright about all of this with DD as word is around our small town. Have to admit that WW was upstanding and told the truth at least as I know it!

DD is devastated, begins crying and so on. After a few minutes WW leaves. DD has a rough night, choosing to sleep next to me, holding my hand, etc. DD cried several times today out of the blue, so she is hurting!

Today, WW stops by to p/up DD for "her week" to have her. WW is extremely hostile toward me and begins pointing finger, raising voice, piercing stares, etc. I am cordial, pleasant and remain that way. WW walks by saying "This whole thing is bothering me too!" I'm thinking (but did not say): "OK, WW you refuse to participate in any event to work on marriage including one call to SH which SH desperately wishes you would do, you will not discuss issues with me, you've stopped all communication with womens B-Study group, preacher/friend and church-members, now only listening to OM and you are destroying DD who is totally innocent." Oh yes, WW refuses to even read 1st. chapter of SAA of HNHN.

Questions: What is the hostility about? WW is getting what she's been after for 6-months now and she's mean as a hornet! I thought she would be happy if anything! Is this fog? (Note: This is my 1st. time going through anything like this entire affair!)

Your wife is acting completely normal for a WW. She is angry because she knows she is behaving badly, so blames you.

Try to let your daughter know that you have a plan to save your marriage. (Plan A). It is really sad that your daughter is hurting, but that is what happens when someone decides to behave to selfishly.

O.K. WW has talked about D before but has not resopnded like this! Given your theory; perhaps seeing some of her belongings in boxes made her angry also. The hostile behavior surprised me though as she is the one so strongly pursuing D!

DD is highly upset w/WW and remains hopeful that M will be saved. I agree with selfish behavior causing so much damage.

Thanks.
