I had an experience over the weekend that I would like to share.

(Background: went to my BIL 40th Surprise Birthday party, next day the family went out to breakfast-hence the title. BIL's MIL was there. I believe her parents were in the holocaust.)

But anyhow, it was a nice little restaurant that had recently opened. I believe by some immigrants. They had a single waitress on duty, cute with a Russian accent.

We got there and there were only a few other patrons there. There were 12 in our party and many other people showed up for breakfast after us. Long story short, the food was good, but with the lack of enough employees, delivery was slow and the food almost cold til we got it. Taste was still pretty good. As such, the waitress did her best and was apologetic and very friendly.

When we were done BIL's MIL stated to us, "that you can forgive alot when the attitude's right." I thought that was a very good statement.

Someone had asked last week how onlywords and I have been able to recover so quickly. She thought that we were both "broken by God" (which btw I don't disagree with) and I made some lame remark about writing down a plan and trying to follow it. I believe that this statement more actively reflects how we've been able to come this far. Her attitude has truly helped me in our recovery. (I just don't know if I have graciously returned this attitude or not.) Either way I know what I need to keep working on.

God Bless,
RH

"I will do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to make our marriage right"

this has been the prevailing attitude in your marriage for recovery <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
You are both doing GREAT!

Thanks Pep,

Hope you get that thong dug out one of these days, it's got to be painful having it stuck there for this long. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
