OK I have a comment about Amber Frey...

I know it may be considered old-fashioned but maybe Amber should wait until she meets a man's family and friends before she sleeps with him?
Wouldn't that make it far less likely she accidently sleeps with a man who is already married? And if he had to marry her before she would sleep with him, then (unless he commits bigamy) she would have been safe from being led on to have sex with a married man, right? I mean if she had required a marriage license and ceremony first...

Don't get me wrong... I think Amber was VERY brave to contact the police and to tape phone conversations with Scot Peterson. And I do believe that she really didn't know he was married, and that she wanted to get involved with a man who was available to marry her.

So why don't we women wise up and start requiring marriage before sex?

Okay, I take the bait -

I did meet my MM's family even went on vacation with his daughter, not one single person clued me in on him being married. Hard to believe but true.

Why I didn't wait until after the wedding bells to have sex? I hate to say it and will probably get clobbered for my sin, but I like sex too much to take a chance that my future husband may not be sexually compatible with me, or worse. Sex is one of my top EN's and I'm not going to chance it. But then I'm quite old, I am raising my daughter different.

I'm probably nuts to answer this question.

BTW - hey Meremortal, I've wondered about you!!!

How are things?

Amber doesn't claim she did the right thing or that she is a moral goddess.

She is a human being who was tricked by a very tricky guy.

He seems like a sociopath.

But they had sex on the their first date. Yuch. How do you have any idea at all who you are sleeping with?

We've all read about the ridiculous statements and the ludicrous ploys here made by WSs in the act. Illogical, unbelievable, bizarre.

We should not be surprised that once in a while, one of these scum bags takes it even further.

It's just a matter of degree.
