What do I do?
I can't just sit here and take this. I must act. I can't just sit back while OM and my W wreck my family. I think I'd better contact my doctor tomorrow and get some anti-d's. I haven't been sleeping and I have alot of nervous energy. I can't just sit here and think and think and think. I just went thru all the old photos. Can you believe I was her boyfriend in high school? I'm in here yearbook telling her I lover her. Aint that a blip?

Why couldn't she just let him go and get down to business working on our m? We could have went to MC instead of her IC. I feel like she didn't even try. I must hold it together...my son gets up for his 2nd day of school in a few hours. My W has no intention of trying again with me, she used our last blow up to fuel her A and go to him.

Okay I'll admit it, I may need professional help. This is more than I can bare.

You are right, some IC will help and some meds will get you over the rough spots. Some ppl do not believe in meds, I do. Anti-d's got me through the worst of d-day and recovery. They are a crutch, to help you, until you can stand on your own.

My suggestion to you is to start looking after yourself. You are no good to anyone if you aren't well (physically, emotionally and spiritually). Do things for yourself. Do you have any hobbies or things you enjoy doing? Exercise and eat well. Take time out for just you and your son. Try to take pleasure in the little things. Try to live each moment and don't worry so much about what your WW is up to or what's going to happen. All this may sound trite but, it works.

For me, once I embraced the fact I couldn't change or control anyone but myself I began to "let it go". I got stronger. I realized I could go on and be quite happy without my FWH. I grew as a person and became more confident, self-reliant and happier!

FM, my friend. Head up, brother. You can do this. You will do this. For Fm; For your kids.

Yes, a trip to the doc is in order. (I don't know if you recall the "manly-man" post I 'spoke' about?) It's OK! You're OK if you ask for help. I used to think that IC was "the easy way out" and "only for the weak." HAHAHAHAHA! $hit, my whole damn family is weak and finding the easy way out. Brown's too! Come to think of it, the whole f#$%ing world is weak!!!!! FM, do what you have to do. GO to the doc and get some meds. You need to keep yourself strong and not sleeping ain't doin' it!

(Don't tell my son about the clowns and the glass--he's 19 and still hates clowns!)

A guy walks into a bar...says, "Ouch!" (My personal favorite! )

I'm sorry about the support comment you said on the other thread. I really am. I'm only realizing now--after 34 years--how much family means. BUT, you have us on MB! OK, there's no comparison, but, use and abuse us. Vent. Let it out. It's a restart at least, eh?

I am not making any sense, am I?!?!? Two beers and I'm buzzed already. What kind of damn Irishman am I?!?!? (OK--it was a very VERY long day at work. Gosh, I hate some people. (And I hate to use the word "hate."))

Anyway, thought of a way to maybe "brighten" your day. (Well, night--we're both on the right coast.--well, guess it's dark now on the left coast too, huh?)

Anyway, "Our Adventure in Baltimore" by LINY.

Author's note: only now are we realizing our move down to Baltimore was just brown trying to escape it all--came right after the death of her Grandfather. After that, there was only brown and her half-sister in the immediate family. (She knows what you're talking about.)

---got lost in NYC (DUH!) on the way down. Forgot that the moving van was commercial and couldn't travel on the parkways. (***DUH***!)

---Second *DAY* we had moved in: tornado, literally right down the street from us.

---NEVER, I say, NEVER, pray for patience...

---brown gets pulled over on her way to drop our daughter (2 at the time) to daycare. Gets pulled over by a cop--female cop, to say the least--and gets "several" tickets: non-registered (still NY plates); expired inspection; expired license; revoked license (which actually happened in FL--they never did the cross check until MD); insurance lapse; and I think there was a broken headlight thrown in there too. (Car impounded until we could come up with an exbartant amount of money.) Brown crying her tears out with the girly cop--knowing full darn well, "We were screwed!" Cop screaming at her, "Don't try that 4hit with me. Not gonna get you anywhere." To which the floodgates open! (Finally, more reasonable officer consoled her and had her call me.)

---During court (couldn't afford lawyer and certainly didn't know what the "process" was) judge beraded me when I stood up with brown, and I don't want to use quotes, but I believe he said, ":Who the hell are you?" (I was already squeezing the cheeks together very tightly to prevent any accidents!) During his tirade on me, in the middle of a thunderstorm, lightning hits the building and the power goes out! If I recall correctly, had the rest of the hearing in the dark! I think one of the public defenders so our fear and terror and finally helped us get through it all. (Was reduced to I think two tickets. Still, mucho $$.)

---youngest son (9? at the time) throws a brick through a state troopers windshield

---neighbors (we lived in townhouse, end unit, but they more than made up for having neighbors on either side) had son same age as our youngest which was complete terror:

---behind townhouse, thick woods. Kid throws both sets of our keys in the f#$%ing woods!

---dumba$$ mother puts laundry soap in dishwasher--completely floods our first floor.

---termites

---while the guys are drilling the poison around the foundation, causes our hutch to shift and many items broken

---LINY starts to gamble

---(we are both gov't workers, so you need to understand that with the next few):

---OK City (I was actually in DC at the time)

---car bomb *found* next to federal building

---two other bomb threats

---5 hour commute to and from work everyday!

---find out my "mentor" and friend dies back in NY

---(Ripken sets the record!--OK, one good thing!!!!!!! Still have about 10 Sun's from the day--record came on a Saturday, so these Sunday papers are taking up alot of room! Have a few Coke 6-packs too!))

---sons experiment with smoking

---son gets into first 'real' fight

---oh, I'm sure I'm forgetting so much. Maybe brown can fill in some too!

---last week there? Can you guess? Yup!!! Another damn tornado, again, down the same road! (Perry hall Rd?--lived in White Marsh.)

I don't want to jinx you and say, "Aw, don't worry FM. How much worse can they get?" ('Almost' as bad as praying for patience! ) God will throw another spitball! I will, say, it *does* get better.

OK, now that I've humored you (I hope) in some aspects, I need to get some sleep. Baby will be up in 2 1/2 hours. ARGH!!!!!!

I will be still looking out for you, FM, and making sure you take that trip to the docs.

God bless and keep that head up.

---

Thanks for being there LINY. I will call the doctors office later this morning. I am usually okay but after seeing her today and not seeing a speck of love for me...when just last week I was all she wanted. I can't believe it. I'm devestated, I keep telling myself this too shall pass. I think she's pushing me as far as possible so that my love for her will die so she can continue her R with OM without guilt.

I went thru all of this pain for her to quit on me and run right back to him. I was worrying myself sick for her while she was on the sedatives, I waited on her hand and foot. How does she repay her oldest living friend, by cheating on me is how. I feel lower than low right now. Do you think she's concerned with my mental well-being eventhough I have both of our children? Not in the least, now a word of how are you doing? Nothing. I had no idea the mother of my children, my wife could ever try to destroy me like this.

I'll be better tomorrow, sorry for the woe is me posting. My darn phone line is down and I can't call anyone which is probably a good thing. Who would I call anyway? She told me less than a week ago that I was the type of man she wanted. I am strong, but I will admit this is pushing me to the brink.

I can't believe after all this work she runs right back and now even if she does come to her senses we will have to start all over again.

I had a good cry...it was a long time coming. Humor can only work so long.

Tomorrow is a new day.

I'll see my S and D smiling faces and I'll know regardless to what their mother does, I made the right decision creating this wonderful children and I will not let them down. I will not let this destroy me. I must be a role model for them.

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm going to take a nap now. First I'm going to say a long prayer for all of you and for my W, my oldest friend and the mother of my children.

YEP, time to et HOLE ! Need those MED's go get them . A trip to IC , not a bad idea .

STOP the photo looking , not good at all .

FM, you did the work , you know how to be a H and and Farther a caring, understanding man one who was filing your W's needs .

The only work here is personal recovery, you need to make yourself the #1 person right now .

Your needs have not been met for some time now , you been working you butt off for your M , your W and your children and I understand where the kids are concerned that it never stops .

BUT you need to get a sitter and go out , loosen up have some fun .

Your to young and life is to short , sometimes things have away with coming together when your not looking .

When H took off and moved in with OW I tried everything , it was only when I let go that things began to fall into place .

MAY I ask , did your W while you 2 where separated live with OM ??

And is this A exposed to everyone ?

I do not remeber if all that happened or was done . (sorry)

The other thing is I am not understanding how your not laughing at the fact that
LINY was buzzed on 2 beers and he is IRISH LOL

OK sorry about that , again vent anytime there are plenty of ears around and alot of people who care .

OH one more thing , I know a guy who was through this and he said, the only excirse that really helped him to clear his mind was MARSHAL ARTS .

Maybe look in to that . I hope your kids are enjoying school the first week is useally fun for then ,,,, NOT for the parents ,, alot to do .

YOU are not alone , not crazy , and theres nothing wrong with you at all .

be well !

I just got the kids off to school. Its so cool being a good dad, and it's even more cool trying to set a positive example. My S reminds me constantly how important it is for me to not get to far down the woe is me road. I had some hairy moments last night, to be honest it was rather frightening. I actually thought about quitting and I don't mean Checkers or the Atkins Diet, but today came just like I knew it would. A new day!

My D is at the really cool stage where she thinks she's grown up but she isn't and she still needs my reassurance and guidance. Oh to be 14 again. I'm very proud of her. WOW! I met her mother when I was 16!!! My W was my high school sweetheart, my first LOVE..aint that special. Oh yeah before I forget:
Hey guys I'm one of the cool dads! My daughter walked up to me at the bus stop with my son and infront of everyone she claimed me!! Aint that special, you know how when your a kid and dad's wearing something only fit for yard work and you want to scurry by him so people don't know he's your dad? Anyway, she didn't scurry, instead she showed off me her new hairstyle and told me she loved me!

Thank GOD for reminding me my wifes indecision and fogged choices do not define me as a person. Hey I like how that sounded. I'm going to say that 10 times to myself until its an affirmation. I'm a good man and my wifes choices to leave me have alot more to do with her than me. The kids are happy and bonding ever so tightly to their dad. I hope my W wakes up and realizes, our M isn't perfect but it's worth the work and running to fantasyland will not make her feel any better. How can a mom even imagine being away from her family is going to make life easier for her?

Nope! I'm not going to start asking those idiotic questions again. My W's decisions do not make sense and me trying to make sense out of them is futile. If you happen to be lurking, Wifey I still love you but you must commit to "US" and roll up your sleeves. Life is going on without you, but we'd much rather have you back. It is truely wondersul when your kids are not well embaressed of ya , you just get that relief being the parent !

When H was gone I got my eye brow peirced , I never thought of oh wow how will it affect my kids in school .

The first day of school , I was looked at alittle weird , then on the third day I asked my kids if it embaressed I would take it out .

They said, no way MOM you are the coolest MOM there ,,, there friends started to ask there MOMs to get one LOL

So maybe I am not popular with the parents but hey the kids love ME

YES to be a teen again ! but ya know what ya can act like one every now and again its OK !

14 year old girl I think that would scare me , I am already scared knowing my 6 yr acts like one .

OK have a great day keep that attitude up and yes you are a great dad !

Hang on, it's gonna be a rough ride. You are still very early in this, and WW is apt to be back. So go get some meds to help you through.

The meds center you, and let you be able to do what you need to do. Plus you will always be happy and folks won't be able to figure it out.

Liny...
I was too much in the dumps to laugh at your post...I was knee high to a grasshopper....but read it again today and I was disappointed. An Irishman buzzed off 2 beers? I'm revoking your liquor license young man!

I see you and Brown have some pretty outstanding memories of my area. DC is notorious for their ticketing, you'd think the Nations Capitol wouldn't be so BROKE! I live in Southern Maryland which is only 5 minutes from DC and 10 minutes from Northern Virginia. Come back and see us sometime, Yah hear?!?!?

3isa

MAY I ask , did your W while you 2 where separated live with OM ??

They never really lived together, dated and she was in love, that was the main reason for the separation. I didn't know it then I thought it was due to my distancing myself. I wish I would have known then maybe it wouldn't have went this far.

They had a run at a relationship during our separation. I on the other hand stayed single just working on me. Their R died of natural causes and she wanted back in the M...eventually. Now here we go AGAIN...I was just getting over the fact she had a R with OM and then she goes back? OPPS correct that...she never really left because she never ended contact...a EA became a PA which became an EA and I'm afraid it will become a PA again. I don't know if I can handle that.

And is this A exposed to everyone ?

I exposed to everyone I can think of. She has no real family to speak of. No parents, a few cousins only one close cousing whom I've contacted. I could approach OM's parents. I've contemplated that...they are highly religious but how much could that help? They knew she was still married to me when the two of them began dating years ago during our separation. TALK ABOUT CHRISTIAN HYPOCRITES!

Imagine that, their 21 year old son was dating my 29 year old wife at the time while she was still married to me...they even took her to church and introduced her as their daughter. If you let my wife tell it, they are the SALT of the earth. No their NOT, they enabled an A and contributed to defiling a place of worship. People can rationalize anything if they think hard enough

The other thing is I am not understanding how your not laughing at the fact that
LINY was buzzed on 2 beers and he is IRISH LOL

EGGZACKLY! I'm glad you pointed that out...That was a huge oversight on my part and of course I berated LINY for his wimpy alcohol tolerance level

OH one more thing , I know a guy who was through this and he said, the only excirse that really helped him to clear his mind was MARSHAL ARTS

Martial Arts? Hmmm JOGGING didn't do it. I'll check into it. I do need to get out and enjoy my life huh? I'm only afraid I will endup meeting available women. I've been thru alot these last 2-4 years and to be honest I DONT TRUST MYSELF RIGHT NOW. I'll admit it. I'm trying so hard to stay faithful to her, not that she cares. Sometimes I think she wants me to find someone else, but I must look in the mirror every morning and feel good about MYSELF.

Friend, my W did the same thing 4 years ago, but do you see how things played out? I'm here with both my kids. Yes, I'm fighting the dumps and things don't feel COMPLETE without my W here with us, but there is hope.

Believer,
Hey lady how are you? Actually I've been going thru this crap for YEARS!! 4 YEARS TOTAL! I made so many mistakes when I was younger I thought I owed it to her to cut her some slack, and I guess she felt she owed it to me to cut me in the back, but I was only what early 20's? She was my first girlfriend, we had our daughter when I was what 21? I'm 35 NOW! Can a guy cut a break here? For the last 4 years I've been atoning for my sins as a kid and an idiot. So what does she do? She goes and gets another young kid who's going to take her through his own growing pains....I just don't get it!

This thing with the OM started 4 years ago, during our separation they were boyfriend and girlfriend. She came back to ME. I did a subconscious Plan A which didnt work back then...then I did a Plan B meaning I moved on with my life and eventually she came back.

I wish she would come her and post and get advice. I think since she came back to our M but her feelings for OM never left, she sees them as DESTINED or something. I've tried to explain to her that even if she came back to me, if she still had contact with OM the R was never really OVER. We never had a chance because she would never FULLY commit to US. You can't climb a ladder if you don't move your feet girlfriend. So for the record Believer I'm not new to this rollercoaster, I'm just NEW to MB principles AND THAT'S A BIG DEAL because I'm learning not to always act on instincts. In the olden days I would pull up on my WHITE HORSE, dive thru the window, scoop her over my shoulder and ride off into the sunset! I dont think that's going to work at this point. I'm not 17 anymore and they've got laws against kidnapping, but didn't that sound ROMANTIC?

I must let her go AGAIN? I've already been through this, what is she trying to do? Make me self-destruct? I've gotta see a man about a horse

I'm so sorry you are having a tough time. You've stood by me during some pretty rough times and I want to do the same for you.

Please do yourself a favor and don't look at those pictures. Just put them away. You need to distract yourself. I'm not saying close your eyes to what is going on right now but do not focus your energy on the actions of your WW. Focus on those sweet babies of yours. Pour you energy into them. They need their Daddy right now. Be their rock and in turn they will be yours.

How about something you are interested in....like cycling or reading or maybe knitting...i don't know. Try a hobby to distract yourself on those lonely nights.

I'll say a prayer for you and I'm sending you a big {{{{{hug}}}}}!

She's broke the NO CONTACT RULE begeezus if a H can't blow up from that what can he blow up about? I know it's an LB but I had done so much work she had to be just waiting for a bump in the road to runaway again. She won't tell me where she's staying...hmm I wonder why? This is not rocket science. If you sense something, more than likely your right about something.

Thanks for the support. I will find something to occupy my time. I know!! Me and my son will watch the LION KING. Now that's a great dad and son bonding movie and later tonight me and my D will play video games.

I don't know but I will do something besides drive myself crazy picturing my W in congress with OM. *shakes head....and does best Late Great Ray Charles Impersonation...

GEORGIA....OHHH GEORGIA..

I dont know the rest of the words but he sang it with so much emotion its fitting.

A movie and video games sounds exactly what the doctor ordered. I think that's a great idea.

I don't think anyone can make it through what you are going through right now without LBing. Try to stay focused on the end result you would like and that's having your WW home with you and 100% NC with OM.

Make sure she knows that you can and will forgive her but she has to agree to NC. You do not want her to feel hopeless about your ability to forgive. My H expressed this concern to me a number of times before exposure (when I believe we went into recovery). He just couldn't understand how I could forgive him but I made sure he knew that I could forgive him and would love him for coming back to our M.

Create a place your W will be comfortable and feel safe. Right now she's heavy in the fog...that's probably the most difficult part of all of this.

Hang in there...be a rock!

Alright guys and gals...enough of the 2X4's (with the picture of Sam Adams at the end!)
I am a....lightweight. (Yesterday was *REAL* bad though!)

I think it was 3iac who pointed it out, FM: "IT IS NOT MY W'S ACTIONS THAT DEFINES WHO I AM." Now, That is the FM we all know!!!!!! Enough of her. (Sorry to be so harsh.)

It was great to hear about your D! That must be *huge*! I could never imagine my D doing that. I know she loves me, etc., but to show that love, that respect, that pride, oh, everything. You must still be grinning from ear to ear! (Like brown said, we walked her up to the kindergarten walkway--and she's never looked back! Maybe things will change this year in JHS.)

And your S? Sounds like a lil' ol' mush like daddy!

Glad you had that cry. A good cleansing sounds like what you needed at the time.

And as I reread this thread, I have to sorta renig on something I wrote. You, my friend, have a wondeful support system with you and your kids!!!!! (I know what you meant--you need the adult SS too.) But your kids and you--what a team you got going there!!! When I talk to my aunt about raising the kids, she always reminds me, "You'll never know how you've really done until you have kids of your own." She thinks I'm doing fine--but that's an "outsiders" point of view. Sooo....this outsider's POV?: you're doing just great, FM. Obviously you're doing something right!

About your outburst? Your human. Your not some robot. You did it. Regardless if it helped or not, it's done it happened. (Maybe she needed to see that side of FM. You are very passionate about anything you do. Maybe that will actually have a positive impact on your wife down the road. Who knows? Can't dwell on it though.

I did have one question: I'm sorry if you have mentioned it in the past--I know the situation surrounding it (unfortunately), but...what was the type of business you wanted to start up? I don't want to take away any of your feelings etc., just concerned a little about the $$ for you. (Listen to me...the gambler...legitamtely "worrying" about $$...wow!)

Anyway, hope you still are going to see the doc. I know it's so "yesterday" (Boy, am I getting old! ), but brown, now and again, needs that "chill pill" just to get her by every now and again. Kudos to her: she *knows* when to take one nowadays!

Keep yourself busy...(right now, my 2 year old is calling...wants to play dolls wih daddy. AAAAHHHHHHHH! Hey, if I can admit I got buzzed on 2 beers, I can admit to playing dolls with my D!!!!

Oh, and BTW, I can just hear you guys now:

What's a "lightweight"? I dunno! Ask LINY!

What's a lightweight? When you can't even get a pack of gum from the empties you're returned!

What's a lightweight? I dunno...ask LINY. Oh never mind, he probably forgot already...had that first beer already!
