Even try something new that you've never done before. Take a new way home. Better yet, go for a long drive somewhere and find someplace to eat you've never been to before. (No memories) Or find a friend at work to eat lunch with!! Or, better yet, go to the jelly thread and lurk - if that doesn't make your day happy, nothing will!! Seriously, happy birthday. Do whatever it takes to make it a happy one for YOU.

Y'all helped me out today. I have to bump this thread and try to milk it one last little bit. Would you believe I was sadder today than I've been in months? Oh yeah, nothing like a birthday to bring all those feelings of loneliness and rejection into stark relief.
But my family and friends and everybody here was excellent to me, so I may be in pain, but I also know I have many blessings.
