I will try to make this brief. WH and I have been separated for 2 months, after discovery of 1 1/2 year EA. We tried recovery, prior to separation. Found out he had broken NC. We have been married 26 years. Says he has not been happy for some time, and needs his space. He is 52. I am 46. He is living with his mother. Still in contact with OW. Here is the problem: We still see each other on a regular basis. We go out, hold hands, he tells me he loves me, kisses me, etc. He comes over and does the yard, has dinner, etc. We have a good time when we are together. On my birthday last week, he brought me a cake, gave me some thoughtful presents, and we all went out as a family. (My sons are 18 and 21.) Four days later I found out that he had lunch with her. I had made the decision to try to make it appealing to turn away from her and come back home, but I know he is still seeing her. The thought of ending our 26-year marriage, and giving up our future is so
painful. He says it is going to take some time for him to decide what to do. He is in the middle of a major mid-life crisis and has an emotional connection the the OW. Here is my dilemma: I am so conflicted. I feel like if he really wanted to be with her and dump me, he would just tell me and do it. Why does he still want to be around me, and tell me he loves me, but still see her? Is it time to tell him to shove off? Part of me wants to tell him that she can have him. They deserve each other. But I am afraid this will push him totally to her, and all possibility of reconcilliation will be gone. WHAT SHOULD I DO???
