I haven't had any sleep for the past day. Its now 3:30 am and I'm looking at the divorce papers. With the lack of sleep you do stupid things. Looking at the papers that doesn't required a signature in front of a notary, I signed in fine point orange marker, underneath I wrote betrayed spouse. I also signed it Mrs. His Name (using his real name) and not my first name and last name. I'm still Mrs. His Name until the divorce is final.

The divorce is basically: what is his is his and what is mine is mine. The only query I have is the business we have together. He wants all of it. Its not really worth fighting over, its not a money maker but I have sentimental attachment to the business. Its not worth getting a lawyer and fighting over something that is not making much money. I do care for our clients.

Now I pray the divorce doesn't become final on my birthday in three weeks. I'm so sad over this. The pain is unbearable, but I do realize I'm strong and I have wonderful in-laws who have been so supportive of me. They felt they have a lost a son and his brother feels he lost his brother.

I wished he had stayed and fight for our marriage, it will be six months since he left and seven months since he told me about the A. Not enough time to make a decision of divorce, but I can't force him to stay in this marriage, especially since he live thousands of mile away with the OW. They escape so they don't have to face reality of what they have done. Cowards.

I also ripped the document of Waiver to Counsel. There was no way I'm going to sign that piece of paper, just in case something goes wrong with this divorce.

Yes they are COWARDS and that to me signifies just how misguided his decision is. If someone feels good about what they are doing/done they can stand with their head up high and show the world. When people choose to live or lie or runaway IMVHO I feel it leaves no doubt in my mind that they are torn between conviction, responsibility and guilt. I know whenever I wakl my son to the bus in the morning, MY head is up high, and when I cook my D & S dinner that my head is up high and if my M is dissolved in divorce I also will have my head held high. I am not the offending party and my actions have been honorable and respectable given my situation. Hopelessly, you will be able to hold your head up high as well, and for that you can feel proud and complete.

Thanks FM,

I'm thinking about calling his lawyers office and asking them for a new set of documents. My WH wants this divorce fast, he said it is because of our taxes. He had filed for an extension and need this resolved before October. He told me he is not going to marry again, but I can't believe a word he tells me.

After I started to expose, I felt more confident and was able to hold my head up high instead of shame. Last month, two days after my anniversary and two days before I got served with papers, I attended a wedding with my in-laws. When people ask me where is your WH was, I told them the truth, it also help they also knew the OW. The amount of support I received was incredible and my MIL came up to me and said "Good for you and we are so proud of the way you have handled everything"

When I started to expose I didn't know what my in-laws reaction would be, but they have been so supportive of me and told me I will always be part of the family. They are hurting too.

Hopelessly,
I can't imagine my spouse just up and fleeing, but I also feel blind-sided. One day everything seems to be going fine and we were making plans for the future and the next pffft...GONE!

I am so upset about this whole situation, we agreed no contact. I guess in the end we see where their priorities lie. To think my W can rationalize this to the extent of leaving her S & D. After having my W do the crazy things she's done, nothing surprises me anymore. You will get thru this. You seem too strong to let a little thing like a fogged WH steal your happiness. Take care of you, which is what I'm trying to do. Letting go is easier said than done, it's very possible he could recant his stupidity but no need to hold your breath. I'd really like to see him change his mind and come racing back, but usually it takes ROCK BOTTOM for the extemely fog induced to awaken. Here's to not holding our breaths, cheers! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

When my Wh left he told me he was going to stay in the area (New Jersey) and we agreed we wouldn't make any decisions unless we discuss it with each other first.

Imagine my surprise when I was served divorce papers from Nevada. He told me he moved far away, for me, that I would not have to worry about running into him with the OW. Gee, how thoughtful of him.

Even if he came back, as much as I love him with all my heart and want to save my marriage, I don't know how I would react. The OW purposely destroy my marriage. She wanted my WH for years even though she was married to another man. She is after my in-laws money, bottom line. She thought she had my in-laws caught up in her little web, guess what they are now totally disgusted by her and want nothing to do with her.

I don't have any family and my in-laws have been so supportive of me through all this. They consider me their daughter and they tell me everyday how much they love me. I still thread lightly over this situation with them because I know blood is thicker than water, but they have been with me and encouraged me every step of the way. I'm so grateful the OW didn't get her claws into them.

hi hope.....be very careful about the inlaws, they have a tendincey to let things slip out by accident. My inlaws love me dearly also, and are so hurt by what has happened. I have no family either and I am like a daugther to them. But yes BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER.

My MIL told me even though she hasnt met OW yet, she already doesnt like her, but she loves her son, and its only a matter of time before he takes her over there.

Another thing my MIL asked me if i had been to a lawyer, i told her the truth and said yes. Well she told my WH that. Big mistake on my part. I watch what i say now around her.

take care
