FWH...

I have read the book "Every man's battle" which is a book for men who have fallen (bad choice of words) into infidelity. It is aimed at re-establishing boundries to not allow your eyes, head and heart to wander again. New habits and patterns to free the FWH from possible relapse.

It's a great book but they also have a men's 5day conference/retreat. It's pricy but my marriage is worth every last dime I have. $1600 for the conference.

Anyway, does anyone here have any experience attending it? Is it good and would you recommend it?

You can find out more at their website:

www.everymansbattle.com

I guess I'm looking for anything helpful and wonder it anyone has attended.

I don't know guys... the name of the thing bugs me. To suggest that adultery is a man's problem... I don't know. Something rubs me wrong about it. Like cheating is a simple matter of cattin' around. Philandering.

Fogless,

I know it's expensive but I think it will do a couple of things. First, it would be personally helpful to make sure I close the door for any future A's. I'm sure you can relate...I don't want to EVER go through this again. I don't want to "accidentally get sucked into" anything.

Second, I think it will make a statement of intent and willingness to my W that healing and our M is more important than all the money in the world. Honestly, money just isn't important to me anymore. I'll take out a loan if I have to.

I do want to make sure the conference is a good conference. I don't want to just throw away the money. But if it's good... I'm all over it.

It would be cool to go to the same conference. Accountability partners.

Gray,

I think it acknowledges it takes two but this group addresses the specific problems MEN have. Kinda like promisekeepers.

Graycloud,

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> Just so you don't think the men are being singled out....Steve Arterburn, the author of Every Man's Battle, has written another book for women. Appropriately called, Every Woman's Battle.

Both books address the struggle we all go through...men tend to grapple with different issues than women but that doesn't mean that the issues are any easier to deal with on either side.

For anybody interested in more info..the main website is www.newlife.com Their radio show is awesome and you can listen to it for free on the 'net with realplayer.

Gad..I sound like an advertisement!

Best wishes to you 2scared...it is a wonderful thing you are doing for your marriage to go to the conference. I wish my H would go.
