Some people have very unique screen names and I'm just curious what the story is behind them. My is pretty boring, my initials and the year I was born.

Hi kloe72!

I always wonder about that too....

Mine is self explanatory.

You, by the way, are a trooper! One tough gal.
Good Luck with all you are dealing with!

Hi Kloe..

Mine is my first initial, and the date of our wedding.

Simple, but meaningful to me.

Family Matters checking in.

Mine is self-explanatory but I chose it to remind myself to hang in there. Every time I felt like giving up I'd recall my screen name and think...
"I can't quit, daggonit...FAMILY MATTERS"

....it's descriptive and motivational!

We've called our middle daughter Miss Priss since she could get herself around. She hates to be dirty...loves to get dressed up and now we have noticed that she walks like she's on a runway. She'll be 8 next Saturday.

She's the spitting image of me. Scary really.....uncanny resemblence of me at that age, so now that's what my H calls me all the time. Though I don't mind getting dirty.....HATE to dress up...and certainly can't walk like I'm on a runway.

Hi kloe,

There was a really long thread about this way back and it was interesting to read all the details.

For me it was simple.I was in so much agony when I found this site that all I could think of was it was the month of October, which is my favorite month of the year(I love Fall and my Anniversary is in it too)but also that I found out about WH's adultery and I picked girl because I am one.

I was going to change it since I found out my WH is reading here now but instead I just removed most of my profile.Hopefully he hasn't discovered it is me.

My 24 yr old son's jack russell terrier's name is Trixie. She is a sweetheart.

My former name was 4give...it sounded too much like an order than a suggestion but something I've definitely had to learn about and practice.

When I first came to MB in October, my screen name was Standing_for_M, meaning I was standing for my M. I changed it in February to reflect his coming home & that we're standing for our M together now. Simple but very meaningful.

Miss priss...Sounds like a real pip, that 8yo of yours!

OG--Ha! what a busy month for me: W's and both D's birthdays all in a weeks time. (Very expensive month for me too!)

FM--probably the most insightful name out there. (Along with WOE! )

Pep: maybe I should change mine to "Billy Shears"?!?!? (Complete Beatles fan--only wish I were older to actually experience it all while it was happening.)

Mine? Pretty boring. Didn't lurk for too long before I first posted. Actually, double-menaing: Long Island, New York and W's first name.

I have been involved in an industry that deals with recommendations or application of protective, decorative, anti-corrosive coatings in both residential and commercial settings from retail and practical application positions for several years.

I'm thinking of changing my name to Smart-A$$ Painter.

This is interesting Kloe, thanks!

I picked mine because I happened to be reading some William Stafford stuff on the day I joined MB that touched me.

There was a time in my life when I would have gladly woven a coffin out of all the tragedy instead of a parachute, but now I am a mom and no longer have the luxury of self-destructing. And even though the heartaches keep right on a comin, my old well-worn parachute just keeps gettin bigger.

Kind of cheesy I know.

My name represents how I felt at the time I started posting here.

I no longer felt like the "Grand Prize" (that loss of innocence everyone feels).

I felt like a "Boobyprize" not something special but better than nothing. I felt that while he didn't want the other woman, I came with the house and the kids and a source of additional income (OW was on welfare). I was the easiest choice.

Great thread, I have often wondered about names also.

Mine is simple, it is a pet name my H started calling me when we were dating, (Baby Girl), & we started dating in 1993.

I used it to remember how much he once loved me, now he has very his own "baby girl", guess I have been replaced.

Mine seems self-explanatory, at least to me. It's what I want to be, though perhaps LordsChild would have been better. I want to be His. I mess up a LOT. And I admit I struggle and my faith is not all that strong. But if it weren't for my Lord, I don't know how I'd have made it as far as I have in this mess without doing a lot of really stupid things.

Let's see, I'm on my 4th. WW was lurking here and making fun of me. Finally I said tough, I won't be changing again. I was originally 1FamilyMan, FlaMan, and then 1TinMan(because I felt like I lost my heart. And I LOVE the Wizard of OZ )

Tom Joad. Main Character of John Steinbecks depression era novel The Grapes of Wrath.

Many years ago, a rookie on the fire department called me the modern day Tom Joad. I took it as a compliment. I was the vetran Lt. who looked out for everyone.

I'll be there in the way kids laugh when they're hungry and they know supper's ready, and when people are eatin' the stuff they raise and livin' in the houses they built - I'll be there, too.

I won't elaborate on mine, but I will elaborate on a former poster's name, "Freddy."

Don't know when he last posted, don't remember his story - other than the story behind his name. Suffice to say, we all assumed "Freddy" was his first name. Hint: we were wrong.

It went something like this:

When he was growing up, there was a dog, maybe a stray?, in his neighborhood. This dog would roam and poop in anybody's yard it saw fit. One home owner in the neighborhood was particularly peeved when ever this dog pooped in HIS yard. He didn't like getting "pooped" on.

The name of the dog - NOT Freddy. It was the name of the neighbor! Getting pooped on against his will - similar to "Freddy" and all other BSs.
