i have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and we have lived together for the past 3 years. Prior to our crisis we had a very loving and very together relationship, but now i find that there is a wall between us. He has become very withdrawn and will not talk or show any emotion towards me. He can not even make eye contact when we speak. I have tried so hard to bring him out of this depressive state but to no avail. He says he has to think about things, but for me it is very lonely as he will not or cannot discuss his concerns. I feel so lonely and very lost and dont know what to do for the best. I dont want to walk away from our relationship, but the sheer effort of trying to keep things together is driving me crazy. I feel so rejected and really need some physical comfort, but when i go for a kiss or a hug he just stands there emotionless. Am i doing the wrong things? should i question him? however i do feel questions will only push him futher under and into total withdrawal. Just...WHAT CAN I DO

Welcome to MB,

While you have not tied the knot yet, your feelings of frustration are similar to what many of us have felt.

Please read the concepts section above and if you can, call Steve H for a couple of phone counseling sessions. Steve may help you identify the source of your BF's mood swings or lack thereof. You may do well to read His Needs/Her Needs. You read it, your BF may not appreciate the info at this time.

take care,
L.
