Some silver lining to the clouds that loom: Yesterday, A good friend at work approached our Assistant VP and told him she had had a prophetic dream regarding my situation. Being a Christian, she felt compelled to share the message she received: “Give dlc another chance."

The AVP, also a Christian, admitted that he has been struggling with his decision to fire me, considering all I've been through He said he thought that I was in the middle of a spiritual war, but didn't know how to reconcile that with his professional obligations. Wow. What do you think about that? Let me know.

Regardless of outcomes, I'm reminded that GOD IS, and he still has folks who are brave enough to speak up.

Also, my WxW called to thank me for the flowers I sent her on her b-day, and for letting our son select the gift he wanted to give his mommy (sapphire earrings). It was the first positive communication I received from her since the divorce.

Considering this was the first b-day in 21 years I haven’t seen my WxW and also the 13th anniversary of my arrival at this currently tumultuous job, it was an emotionally difficult day for me. I needed some silver in my clouds. God answered by reminding me that I’m not alone and good begets good. Needed that, really. I’m trying, folks, trying hard to not succumb to bitterness and depression. I want to grow from this and be a better man. Being here at MB has helped so much. Tell me what are your thoughts about these turns of events? Promise? Progress?

promise AND progress!!!

I hope that your boss, in HIS personal growth, sees what a tremendous asset your trials and tribulations have made you in the workplace.

I believe he will, in time.

Hi dlc,

I know you are trying,I can hear it in your posts. You are in my prayers as are all the MB souls here.I really hope that AVP will not add onto an already painful situation by realizing we all have difficulties in our lives and to be gracious enough to be understanding.I think am going to zero in on him in my prayers.

We are not just cogs in the machine.Your VP has to know that.

So,what happened with the lady friend you were talking about lately? Did you follow our advice? Hmmm? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

O

Ms. New Friend is still around. I keep the contact minimal. Although she says she gets it, she can't get the emotional place I'm in. I do count her though, as one of the positives in this drama I'm in.

Trying to do the right thing is complicated, or at least that's the rumor. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

We're all cogs, but cogs have hearts and souls, and God loves the WHOLE machine. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

dlc:

I think I must be in some kind of twillight zone or something!

I swear I saw your last post before I left home about an hour and a half ago, and it shows up here like you just posted it?

Am I losing what's left of my mind? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
