Yesterday was our 11th anniv. It was wonderful. He woke me with coffee and breakfast in bed/with benefits. And fully legal and moral for US, mind you. Just a plus that he remembered on the card he gave me to not only wish me Happy Anniversary, but, Happy Marriage Fidelity day, since I mentioned that fact last week.
Then he was off to school for a couple of hours,he had a test in Physics he couldn't skip, home in time for lunch on the patio. Then the florist shows up with two dozen of my favorite roses, and big teddy bear!
Then off to dinner at Outback where several friends were waiting for us. He presented me with another huge opal and diamond ring,(I love opals) and then to a hotel room,(hiding away for a night from the teen!)
I had to be up at 6 to drop him off for the bus to school,it is 75 miles to the campus, and felt like hell warmed over. Just got home finally. My 29yo brother had stayed here with my 14yo so my house is actually not even thrashed.
I truly haven't had a really GOOD day since Chris died. And my DH knew that. He tried so hard yesterday to really make me happy. I'm so glad that when he was ready to give up on us, 6 years ago, that I would not let him. The last few monthes he has been my rock. Through the cancer and my sons' death, He has been the one who wouldn't let me give up on ME! So, sometimes what goes around really does come around. And in good ways.
