OK guys, here's the deal.
Howl at the Moon has reserved a table for us for Friday, Oct.1. This is good because without a reservation, the chances of getting a seat are slim. However, we have to be there by 8:00 to keep the reservation.

The question is, what would you guys rather do? I don't think we will have time to eat and bowl and make our reservation. So, I will list some options and you guys can tell me what you'd prefer.

Plan "A": Meet at restaurant at 6, eat, then go to HATM.

Plan "B": Meet at restuarant (Splitsville) at 6, eat, bowl, then wander over to HATM and take our chances with getting a table. (We can stand in the back and watch still, just not nearly as comfy)

Plan "C": Eat and bowl, and forget about HATM this time, except maybe the nightowls who want to wander over there after all else is said and done.

Let me know what you think so I can cancel the reservation if need be!

Wow, faith, you're awesome for doing that. thanks!

Giggle..do we have to call it Plan A, Plan B, etc? How about plan 1, plan 2...grin...

I'm thinking towards Plan C, but will go with what everyone else says...I don't know what any of that stuff is like so I have to leave it to those of you who've BTDT.

The reason I lean towards Plan C..well..I think eating at the restaurant will be great for chatting. HOTW sounds like a ton of fun and it IS something that I would like to do sometime...sounds like just my cup of tea...but bowling will still be fun (even though it's NOT normally my cup of tea) and we'll still be able to chat and get to know each other.

But again, it all sounds good to me.

PS Besides..if we eat and bowl..like you said..we can still go to HATM if the mood strikes anyone. I don't have to worry about a babysitter, though and some of you seem to maybe have to think about that.

I am leaning that way myself. Since this is our first get-together, it would probably best to choose the activities that allow for the most chit-chat.
And I won't have the girls that weekend, so no baby-sitter worries for me, at least. Also, I noticed Splitsville is open till 3 am, so we have plenty of time!

I'll go with C also.

We can save HATM for later so we can all make a good first impression

D_Rose,

If you'll wear that hula skirt I'll skip out on my pal and speed right over there. Forget about MaddyK's leather pants > Your quite the shapely fella

Have fun.

Tom, don't you have a big hose?

I'm cracking up.

We had a murder mystery party and I played "Lelani--the hula temptress." Everyone got a kick out of that.

The only problem was that it was in December and it was in the thirties here.....if you look close my high beams are on.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing! We may not recognize you wothout your hula outfit! Maybe that would be the best way to identify us - we each have to wear whatever we have on in our MB photo gallery pics!
Hula outfits, and purple leather pants....oh my!

well i'm totally jealous that i can't join in but hope you guys have a good time. i'm planning a trip to FL in october to get the rest of my stuff but it's too far away from where you guys are. well maybe i should qualify that and say if i have any stuff left to get. my H is safe but as far as our house i don't know and he said that the road flooded to the city where our house is was currently flooded at the time of his email (yesterday). hope you all weathered everything okay.

God bless, RR

rr, I wish you could come too and in fact even thought about your trip down here. If you get any extra time off, let us know

How come your H is not driving over to see the state of the house????

he told me via email yesterday that he would try today. there is actually only one road into the city where our house is and there is a section of road right before the entrance that is over a river and in the past (before we moved there) it has become flooded and prevents anyone from coming or going. H told me that is why he hasn't check on house is because the road is flooded. thankfully our house is kind of on a hill and not in a flood zone. we have flood insurance also (i think it's mandatory in florida anyway).

so i can only wait and "see" Theres a huge inspection coming the first week in october so i can't go to florida then. i would have to go either before or after and i thought that since there was a free day (columbus day holiday for me) the second week then that would be one less day i would have to take for leave. i don't have a lot to begin w/and i have to use it sparingly. i also need to have time to arrange for a kennel for the dogs, schedule the movers, etc. which i do need to get started on.

will keep you posted and prayers to all, RR
