HBS:
No, you didn't jump the gun...don't think that!!! You're entitled to your anger. This may be the support you need right now...I know it is for me. I do not take what you wrote the wrong way. I need to hear from others who are going through what he is going through. It helps me remain sensitive to him, and hopefully, I can provide some feedback from "the other side" to help those like my H, whom I hurt. Thank you for responding to my post. I appreciate hearing from you and hope that you continue to stay with MB.
What's the update with your story? Sounds pretty impressive that he did what he did--the tattoo. The reading of Dr. Harley's book. That is definitely a step in the right direction. I don't know if you are a believer, but I will be praying for you that you God's will and that you allow Him to comfort you and guide you through this. He loves us more than any human ever could...unconditionally. He hears the prayers of His children.
I've already given him my email info. Can't give him my cell phone info., cause on my cheap phone, the voicemail stuff is only accessible from my phone, though I did tell him that when I got an apartment and got a new cell phone, I would definitely give him voicemail info..
On our 1 year anniversary this year, we both got tattoos--his name on my hip, my name on his arm. I hope he sees it and is reminded of my love for him, not the terrible memory of what I did.
He tells me the same thing about thinking about me with someone else...says it makes him sick. He doesn't even sleep in our bed, he sleeps on the couch. He's lost all respect for me. Understandable.
He did read Dr. Harley's book, but says that it doesn't mean anything to him. I have a hunch he's saying that because he's angry, but I don't know.
Last week he was talking to me...but now he says he doesn't want to have anything to do with me. So I have to respect his wishes. I'm just afraid that his feelings for me will go too. I never knew how much he loves me until I saw how much he was hurt by this. I just can only pray that he gives us a chance to work things out. I also hope and pray that he sees the worth of Surviving an Affair.
Keep me posted...and thanks again for your honesty and advice...I very much appreciate it.
