...screaming for the hills.
Besides, you know, what we're all going thru.
I forgot to tell you all, but last week on our local news there was a feature that a 6 ft. alligator had decided that the rays on one of our local beaches were just too good to miss out on. So this 6 ft. guy slaps some Banana Boat on and suns himself for about 4 hours. Now, I'm think that was great for local tourism....NOT.
Then again, alligators/crocs are like, freak my monkey out scary for me. Give me a snake, spider or shark any ole day, but gators...I'd have left little road runner pouf of dust behind me getting out of there so fast....
Just thought I'd share.

Nah. I'm talking about illogical/irrational fear - as in phobia type fear. Mine's gators/crocs (Steve Irwin is a mental, imo, funnyashell, but still a mental).

Centipedes. I see one of those things - especially the big, fast ones - I jump a mile.
And my house is 80 years old, so I see my share of them. Nasty creepers.

I don't actually have a crocigator phobia but I wouldn't necessarily want to hang out at the beach with one either.

Suction. I can't stand suction.
I can deal with spiders, sankes, men with guns and affairs, but suction makes me weak. Yuk.
Stick your finger in the neck of a beer bottle and pop it out. That kills me ! YUK !

Bob Pure, I just wet myself. I'm off to update my shirt, I'm putting a big ole circle with a line through it over the words SUCTION.
What the heck kind of phobia is that????? Still LMAO
Love Steve Irwin, LOVE HIM.
Don't mind bugs, snakes, spiders, centipedes LOL, or suction, but I can not stand mice.
I have had to call my H home from work 3 times because I refuse to function in a home where there is one of those lousy little critters, they freak me out!!!!!
Suction, too funny, way too funny Bob. BTW Bob, I have a little OCD thing going on with my vacuum, always have, do they spook you? Mine would, it has great suction. BOO!!!

Not scared of Alligators. Actually went alligator hunting and bagged the limit. I have a picture of me holding one over my shoulders.
Run for the hills? Moldy food. I can only look at it with one eye opened, hold at arms length to discard it. I Can't leave it in the house trash, I have to take it outside immediately - or the mold spores might spread! I might breath them even.
But alligators... BAH! [ September 29, 2004, 12:32 PM: Message edited by: Tom Joad ]

Jelly! You suck for poking fun at Bob like that (sorry Bob - I couldn't resist the pun).
Note to self: When Mr & Mrs Bob come for their visit, request mugs for their cold ones....'cause the temptation to have my bottle make gross noises might overwhelm my lady-like self control.....
You know what else I can't stand? Movies that have totally embarassing moments in them. Had to get up and walk out of the room multiple times during Meet the Parents. The grandma's ashes thing was almost more than I could bear...

This woman that reports to me at work. Had a chance to fire her about 10 years ago, didn't do it...too scared. Thought she might burn my house down
When she smiles that smile of hers my stomach starts doing flips, my heart races and I feel like running for the hills. She's mean
Good thing she's not also smart, she'ld have had my job
Yup, just love this place!

I don't mind the embarrassing scenes in the movies, but the ones that are badly written make me cringe.
During the love scenes in Episode II, I had to stop my ears once, I was so embarrassed for George Lucas and the actors. I still can't watch those parts. Cringe!
Also, the word "flap", when used to describe an injury.
Okay, something more pleasant: who has seen "Firefly"?

Haha I love this topic!
I am a very brave woman. I am not afraid of bugs or mice. I have had snakes and lizards as pets. I even enjoy SUCTION (in the right situations--heehee). Spiders are just flycatchers...bees are flower perpetuators...worms are even good with ketchup! I have eaten Rocky Mtn. Oysters and snake and rabbit and squirrel and buffalo and even worms on a dare! I really am not afraid of much.
HOWEVER, gigantic cockroaches (aka "Palmetto Bugs" in Florida and Arkansas--haha) drive me NUTS!!! It's not so much the gross cockroach lifestyle--it's those little hooky feet. The feeling of those little snaggy feet crawling on me makes me jump and scream and start flailing around like a drunken tap dancer.
My kids, once for their amusement, put a palmetto bug in my hair!!! AAAARRRGGGGHH!!!! There were two kids cleaning the bathroom with a toothbrush that night--but apparently they thought it was worth it.

Aw Pep! Geez! Rats? And mice Jelly???
You guys would've wet youselves last night when I gave Elizabeth a kiss and told her that she was the nicest gerbil ever. Emily and Elsie might have heard, but I don't care because Elizabeth IS the nicest gerbil ever (E & E are E's sisters...hello, my name's Larry, this is my brother Darryl and my other brother Darryl...)
TJ - Next time you go huntin' I need a new purse....
I'm basically of the opinion that if I can squish it, I'm not scared of it...June bugs excepting because they crunch really groodily...ick, but I'm not ascared of them.

Spiders.
I can't stand them!! I can't kill them for fear they might jump at me. I've asked my kids to kill them for me. I've waited...and watched, because if they go where you can't see them they'll end up in your bed or something...for an hour and a half for my husband to come home to kill one.
I love to garden, but can't in the summer because those eight-legged monsters from hell are out there too. The weeds take over my flowers if I can't get someone else to weed for me.
While my husband was deployed there was a REALLY BIG spider on the wall going up to the kids room. I couldn't get to them because there was NO WAY I would go up the stairs.
So, I got a can of hairspray and sprayed it from a distance. It didn't die. So I sprayed it some more and then some more. It wasn't dead, but it couldn't move either. Then I called up to the kids and asked one of the girls to get a shoe and kill it.
I STILL COULDN'T BRING MYSELF TO GET THAT CLOSE.
Then, they had to get a tissue and throw it into the toilet. If it's not flushed, it might uncurl from it's dead position and crawl out of the garbage.
Yuck. Ewww. I'm feeling all icky now just writing about it!

Kimmy, KY thanks a FAT lot for your support 'kay ! ?
Suction. Yuk. I'm not frightne of it, but it makes the hackles rise on my arms and neck and makes me feel like a thousand fingernails are being scraped down blackboards and forks scraped across plates. eeeuuuuwwwww !
That dentist suction thing when it catches on a cheek EUUUUUWWWWW !
Hate it !
YUK !
Pretty much everything else i'm OK with 'cept soem burrowing bugs I encountered in Kenya. They land and dig in real fast and you can see 'em burrowing under your skin to find somewhere to lay eggs. I caught mine and broke of its body before it got too far in, but the head went septic in the bite. Euuwww again.

This is going to sound weird but..... wooden spoons. My mother used to use wooden spoons to stir the iced tea and mix the cookies. Something about the way the grain of the wood.....ehhhhhh. Gives me freaking goosebump thinking about it.
Dinosaurs scare the crap out of me too....Goes back to an evil baby sitter. I had nightmares for a month after Jurassic Park
