Hi all. I went to the garage sales this morning with 2 friends. We went out to breakfast also. At the sales, I bought 5 super duper huge squirt guns for $1.00.

There are lots of kids in my neighborhood. I busted out the squirt guns and filled with water this afternoon. Then I passed them out.

Of course I told the boys not to squirt the girls, and visa versa. They have been playing for hours. It is very warm here, and it is fun to get wet.

My WH's OW drove by during all of this. Know what? I didn't give her a second thought. She is the one that has lost out on all the fun things in life.

But weaver, I do know how lucky I am. Really I do. I have many blessings. My boys are doing fine. I have many little friends in the neighborhood.

All of my life, I have been involved with kids. It really hurt when my WH's family wanted nothing to do with me, but I now have many more little ones who I love.

believer...you never cease to amaze me! So glad to "know" you here...we would absolutely love to be your neighbor!

You have such a "feel good", down-to-earth, humble and thankful, caring (OK--I'll stop! ) way about you!

So glad to read you are finally in your happy place!

Believer,

There's something about playing with kids that is SO good for the soul! Somehow, picturing you out there playing with squirt guns makes ME feel good. Anyone who can "let loose" and be a kid now and then is "TOPS" in my book!
You amaze me.

My mom and grandma were like you Believer. They loved kids. All the neighborhood kids loved these two incredible women. My mom loved all people &(even after the gambling addiction) all the kids would flock to her house. She was just that way and so was grandma.

This is what I will always remember about those two women who loved all the little children as if they were their own. Their door was always open and their dinner table was always full.

You truly are lucky Believer because you are filled with love and this is a great legacy that you are building.

Five & six years these two great women in my life have been gone and still when I run into people who would stop by for coffee or dinner or cookies, they cry and tell me how much they miss them.

Half the time I didn't even know who the kids were that were always hanging out, or the drunk that needed a beer to help him sober up a little and to help keep the DT's down. But mom and grandma always knew who everyone was and just what that person needed.
