Hey Ya'll

As kloe says, you WILL get through this. Fogman has been gone almost 6 months, and I feel so strong now. My recovery after the baby was easy, thank goodness, and my family and friends helped me out sooooo much.

He's supposedly coming home next month, so we'll see. I could Plan A MUCH longer when he wasn't around as much. Plan A is much harder on women (they say), so this was an edge for me to have more time. My hormones went ballistic during this pregnancy, and I felt better after delivering.

I might have asked you this before, but are you planning on breastfeeding? This will help keep your hormones on an even keel, and help to prevent post-partum depression (you are definitely at risk for this). Does your OB know about your situation? Will WH be there for the birth?

I don't think I will be breastfeeding.. I don't think I will really feel comfortable doing that. Two weeks ago was my last Doc visit. I did tell him what was going on. He put some kind of alert in my chart. He said I am very high risk for postpartum depression. He would like me to go back to my IC and also let him know how I am feeling this visit.

I am not sure if my husband will be at the delivery or not. I haven't decided. Right now I am kind of scared. If I go into labor everyone is atleast a hour away. My parents, his sister and now my husband. My mom gave her phone number to my stepson today on a piece of paper. He told me she told him if I ever fell down or needed help for any reason to call her. She is very worried about me. Not just physically but also my emotional state right now.

The postpardum depression issue really scares me. I'm finally at a point where I'm not depressed every day, but it's still fresh enough to remember how horrible it was. You are smart to talk to your doctor about this now. I wouldn't worry about everyone being at least an hour away, from what I understand Labor usually goes on for several hours even before you leave for the hospital so you will have plenty of time. Plus your Stepson sounds like a wonderful little boy who will help you out until someone else gets there.

Hang in there and try to have a nice relaxing weekeend.
