Sorry, I'm starting a new thread.

Was just on the phone with WH. He broke up with OW last week, wrote her a letter (I don't know what it said - he doesn't have a copy), and gave her cell phones back.

This morning, he talked about how there are things he misses about being with OW, but he is not going to start this mess over again.

He says that she will not contact him (I know that she did contact him before when he broke up with her). She said he deserves to be happy.

But WH says he cannot be happy with anyone right now because of the things he did to himself with all the lies and deceit.

He also talked about how he could never get over this part of it. That if we try to get it together, and can't, we can go our separate ways.

I told him I was feeling kind of scared right now (probably shouldn't have said that). He said that makes him feel worse. I told he can come to me anytime, talk about anything, and I will listen. That I'm here for him.

I told him he's doing a good job, and that I know it's really hard for him. Just to give it time.

I guess I'm just at a loss as to how to deal with this. I feel like I can't - or shouldn't express any feelings that I have.

I just keep telling him to give it time. It will get better.

I hope it does.

Any suggestions?

Check out Faithinme's thread she started today. It's got a lot of advice regarding withdrawl!

Good luck and chin up. The a is over, now the work begins.

Thanks Kimmy.....

Checked out FIM's thread. Lots of good advice there.

We're all kind of in the same boat. WH's worst problem right now is his feelings about himself. How he let himself down. How he's hurt so many people.

It's good to know that I have some company here. It really helps me be stronger, when I know what and what NOT to do.

I talk to Steve Harley in the morning.

BTW, my name is Kathy.

Thanks. I appreciate everyone here soooo much!
