So for the most part I've stopped with "I love you."

Sometimes my emails will end with "Love ya", "Miss ya", "you are loved" and *mwah*, but I limit those. I don't want to stop the "fun" terms altogether, but know they have to be used sparingly.

But I can NOT stop calling him my pet names. "Baby", "Sweetie", "Honey". He never seems taken aback by them or bothered by it. Occasionally, "baby" or "sweetie" will pop out of his mouth too.

I really really really really really miss my name coming from his lips though.

Did you have a hard time stopping with the pet names? Honestly, i don't even try to stop them. I think we could be divorced 25 years down the line and I'll still be calling him "baby"..um..lol..depending on how his wife feels about it if he's married.

"Babe"

I called my wife that while our marriage was in "hiatus" and when we were separated.

I tried to stop but like you said, that was what I called her. Even my wife let slip an "I love you" and a baby every now and then.

I don't say ILY anymore. I have said it twice since d-day. I do call her Honey though. And she too has slipped a couple of times and called me Honey. Funny isn't it? How their Heart and Mind will not stay in sync.

I will use these terms as long as I feel like it. And I will not use them to elicit a response. Because I assume that I will not get one. I don't worry about the ILY's anymore because words are really the lowest form of Love anyways.

Love is about actions. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
