Hi, locals.

Could anyone pleae tell me how to look up your posts (like, is there an EASY way?)and get to know what you've been thru?

Also, specifically looking for good ref's in Tampa IC/MC, etc.

Have tried 2, neither seems int in Marriage Saving, to my liking. Like here.

Hi restarting,

The easiest way is to click at the bottom of one of our posts where it shows the number of posts we've made. It will take you to a page full of our posts.

I don't have anyone in mind for MC...haven't done it. We did talk to Jennifer Harley Chalmers and Penny Tupy. Have you considered the Harleys or Penny?

To look up posts you can click on our names and it will bring up our last 50 posts or you can do a search on our member #'s.

Welcome to Tampa Bay btw....

I'm in St. Petersburg but I can recommend an excellent counselor. She is pro-marriage and just happens to be my pastor's wife.

If you go to www.janedraughon.com you can get her email and phone #. She's great.

I think for the Tampa folks we have people in all stages of this "affair" crap. From just found out to recovered.

God Bless

ISG and DR,

thanks for the quick posts.

Just got back from a very emotional hour and half with wedding planning for D, age 20.

She knows about our A's and what's currently going on w us and our challenges - it's so hard on her, y'know? What a way to start a young marriage, huh?

But I continue to allow myself faith that H will come out of the fog and will help with the wedding and our marriage....

Thanks for the referal, I'll check it out. Does she embrace the SH/MB techniques?

Doesn't seem to matter what the age of the child, they all take it hard. On one hand this might be good for the young couple to see, kinda like showing a 13 year old an actual birth. Makes the lesson stick a bit better. At worse They might see the devestation, at best they will see two people work through problems, not give up and be the best example of a marriage they have ever seen.

Jane told me about HN/HN. She isn't a SH diciple but she does agree with the way he works. Plus it was nice having a christian counselor to help merge the spiritual and married sides together.

God Bless

Welcome, restarting!
I'll be trying to plan another get-together pretty soon - hoping to get one in before all the holiday craziness starts. Hope to meet you! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

How 'bout we tentatively plan something for either Friday Nov 5th or friday Nov 12th?

We could do the same as last time--it was relaxing and fun...easy atmosphere to talk and not too expensive (let's not forget $3.00 martinis!). Maybe plan a little more towards Howl At The Moon for whomever is up for it. We could do something else too, but I don't know the area well still so that would be up to y'all.

I'm open to either date.

Saw a theophositic counselor Fri - interesting results.

I'm way up in New Tampa, but will drive for a good M-centered counselor.

let's stay in touch!

New Tampa would be a little drive depending on the time of day. I'm sure she could recommend someone in your area too.

theophostic counseling....not familiar with that.

Faith,

I can make the Nov. dates too.

I will be sure to attend this time around. I will go anywhere where everyone is able to talk and get to know one another. I could use some new local friends.

Okay, well, we'll do the same thing with splitsville and dinner in the restaurant they have there. giggle..and this time we'll be a little more organized and reserve a table in one of our names..then whenever people get in, they can just ask for that table and no guessing on what everyone looks like.

DipiT, that atmosphere is definitely condusive to talking and getting to know people!

I say we tentatively plan for the 5th, then if we need to change it, we can do it the following week. The 5th puts us at about a month since our last get-together.

restarting, your husband is definitely welcome to come, lol, just be sure you let him know that most of us are betrayed spouses. There was no cryin' or anything last time (it was fun!), but there was general talk about our situations. We did have one FWH there, but hopefully we did not make him feel uncomfortable...I don't *think* we did, but can't say with 100% surety on that!

Mad-mentioned it last night - he chuckled and said he didn't think he'd be comfortable.

I'll still go, tho!

Hi all,

I don't think my H had a problem with being the only FWH last time. He had a good time.

We'll pencil in the 5th.

Maybe we don't need the bowling part?

restart,

As far as being the "wayward" one, my lovely wife and I both have that covered.

How 'bout TJ, is he around?

I've been wondering about TJ. It seems he hasn't been on since he last posted that he was in the process of moving to his condo. Maybe he hasn't gotten internet connected yet.

Maybe he'll check in soon.

We counseled with Steve Harley, read all the books and went to IC (each of us separately) and to MC (together) with Dr.Powell. I think all that helped to contribute to our speedy recovery. I think recovery is a mult pronged thing. If you are interested you can do a search on my member number or my husband (tellthetruth) on the recovery board. We spent alot of time there.

Anyway..Dr. Powell is great and she is supportive of MB principles.
