betrayedinjersey Member B Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 1,747	This is a very odd assignment. My gut is telling me there is more to these questions than an assignment. Your questions are a bit confusing, and biconditional. Meaning..some of your questions don't apply if for example... the couple is intermarriage, it's not an arrange marriage obviously. So a lot of the remaining questions don't apply. Arranged marriages have VERY little to do with looks..and all about social status. Again, not even as much about money... as social status. The class system became obsolete decades ago...but still is very much alive and well in the culture...even if the family is living in the states. Your questions are confusing. Are you sure there isn't more to this ? It's funny, but you sound like someone from an Indian background, weighing the options of arranged marriage.
