I've been listening to the Staple Singers a ton lately. Bunch of people singing their lungs out with nothing behind them but a Stratocaster and an occasional drum beat. GOLD.

GC - Have you heard of Brave Combo?

They are a particular fav because of their diversity. They're from my hometown (Denton, TX) - course almost everyone knows someone who knows someone from Denton or who went to school there...kinda like the 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon...They've also won a Grammy or two.

I am not a huge country music fan - mostly because it all seems so sad. I do however seem to be listening to it more these days as my choice of music often reflects my mood <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> My current favorite is a crossover - Over and Over by Nelly and Tim McGraw.
